2 pointsMy wife and I may be muppets........but we have managed to pull the front bumper off the E60 four times. Even really low parking bars are a problem. It goes up without a sound and then when reversing it catches....... Anyone else have this issue with their E60 Motorsport? We try to avoid but skill is clearly lacking.

2 pointsJust some maintenance stuff. Found it quite a fun process though from a geeky engineering point of view. Was driving the e30 around and felt the shifter get very sloppy. Though ahh well time to replace the bushings in the shifter mechanism. Drove it home and though nothing of it. Next time I go to drive it, lucky I was at home, the shifter completely disengaged and I heard a ding sound as the connecting rod dropped onto the drive shaft. On closer inspection, turnout the retaining clip had broken or disappeared at some point and one of the bushings had disappeared :/ That was the sloppy feeling. So as this isnt exactly an off the shelf part, I put the call out to some close car mates and one of them had a friend who is a machiest. So he turned up a couple of new bushes in brass, bang on spec. It turned out the old bushes after 5 years had started to wear a bit so its nice to have that new shifter feel back again Thanks to ray@hellbm again for the retaining clips, and getting me out of a jam once again Old bushing on the shifter assembly You can see the old bushing inner diameter is egg shaped. I actually dont think that was entirely cause by 5 years a of wear, probably more the pin being mis-aligned after the other bush fell out. New turned bushings ... Here is an old pic of it fully assembled

1 pointSo I roadtripped to Mokau today in the trusty (surprisingly) Range Rover, to pick up a new steed. Enter a 1962ish Landrover Series 2a SWB ute. The rangerover certainly looked the part towing its dad around! Now I'm going to be busy with a grinder and a welder for some time.

1 pointHey everyone, Yesterday I flew down to Wellington to collect my 1999 BMW M5. Before heading on my way back to Auckland, I caught up with Aaron "str8_6" to grab a few pictures of our matching M5's. I've just started a project thread which I'll update in due course.

1 pointHi Bimmersport, Yesterday I took ownership of a very special //M - The E39 M5. It was a rather irrational purchase, though I couldn't be happier in hindsight. I picked the car up in Wellington. It's done 150,000kms and the previous owner had it since 37,000kms with full service history. I plan to keep this car long-term and no major plans aside from putting on facelift goodies + muffler delete. ** A big thanks to Martin (BreakMyWindow) and Ray @ HellBM for all the help and advice! Catching up with another Avus Blue owner on the way up: Sitting at home next to the E46:

1 pointThe reinforcement plates are currently $50NZ from turners motorsports excluding shipping. It shouldn't be a problem to beat that price. Here is the first quick sketch up I still need to print it in paper to check for clearances and other potential f**kups. I'd planned on making them out of 5mm stainless. If you'd like it to be different I'm happy to make something that'll suit your needs Me and a mate are getting a few things cut out at once to get a better price from the profile cutters. I'll try to get some prices tomorrow and see how far away my mate is from being ready Cheers Michael Id forgotten about making the control arm reinforcement plates.

1 pointCars are always targeted as they are thought to be the worst polluters in the towns and cities. Out of sight and out of mind applies to things like power stations, ships, steam trains, etc. Push bikes for all...

1 pointHi all, Anyone interested in a potential project? selling my E36 328i, Automatic, Cosmos Black Coupe, Msport Kit, but has standard steering wheel so i assume at some point it was Msport kitted but not from factory? Bilstein setup on the rears, Boge on the front? LOL, previous owner to blame for that! But still feels tight. mileage sitting @131, XXX km's atm. I have owned the vehicle for a few years and never really used it much, probably travelled 8k in the past few years, have more than a few vehicles.. It is Definitely not a show car, there is a ding in the drivers door ( Pics to follow ) M3 Mirrors, and various paint imperfections. I purchased with the intention of doing her up, and did to a certain point but it is no longer a project i am attending to, will be travelling overseas next year so grab a quick bargain! It comes with partial service history, Jap import, previous owner was not an enthusiast.... i will be booking it in to BMworkshop Botany for a general service and checking for any maintenance work to be done. I am most interested to let this go to the BMW club members for a good price, $4250 ONO, feel free to get in contact via this post, PM, or contact number below. Also have a 3 Spoke E36 Msport steering wheel ( Yet to be installed ) which will complete the Interior Msport style. Pics will follow soon. Regards Peter. Contact me on : 02108439606

1 pointYup. Want to buy one - rep or otherwise is fine. PM if you have one, however i'm not hopeful. Alternatively I'd like an OEM High-Arch wing (Not low arch). Cheers

1 pointThere is a couple sellers on ebay selling them now, not the 'duraflex' ones. You can get the 4pc fiberglass versions for $400-500 NZD shipped to your door, if your not in a hurry i'll let you know if there is any sagging/fitment issues when i receive mine, should arrive in the next week or two.

1 pointlol, the goal is to have the most heavily optioned 740i in NZ. Suspension upgrades and paint are in the list too including installing 750il disks and calipers because in the distant future I see one of these. Almost forgot the 6 speed manual conversion too.
