Saw this at Turners damaged vehicle auction listed at $1200-$1800 reserve price. Should probably put the good engine in it if you want to sell it for $4500.

If its going to be tacky, it might as well be "straight from Aliexpress" tacky.

Pretty much nailed it. I think it was slightly less precise and may have been 'BBS 3-something... The pointy ones.'

Do you mean <100,000km and <$20,000 or are you looking for an expensive, high km example?

Small update. Finished my exams and finally had the hours to put in. Ended up going with the full front end under tray/splitter so its best of both worlds. 7mm CD bunnings plywood w/ 3msq 200g weaved fibreglass with approx 500ml marine grade epoxy resin applied. All hardware is 316 SS and supporting mounts all bolt up to the chassis so it is very sturdy, will easily hold my weight (79KG). Total weight without the bumper is approx 7-8KG and total cost to build this was around 200 .... ish. Could have been a lot cheaper if i went with zinc/galvanized hardware. Made a couple mistakes, first being the front being not long enough, which was my mistake. Measure twice, cut once! Just need to complete the rear diffuser, will add more progress pics of that later.

Engine built and installed with the 6 speed box. Now need to do the wiring and fuel system. Also waiting on the driveshaft to be shortened. Maybe 2 weeks away from driving under its own power and not to far away from doing a test day. Seems really weird that this car should be quicker than the e30 as it looks standard as. Going by the corner speeds I was doing with the 1.6, a high 1:10 around Hampton Downs is on the cards with the 3.2L

So started on the exhaust, pretty much 3" straight through. Pieces purchased from Autobend - 3m X 3" Mild Steel - 30' X 3" Bend - 2 X 2" into 3" Welding doesn't look the best, but it did the job. will be grinding them down for coating next week. Cant see any pin hole, but will do a pressure test this weekend. Need to trim the end piece off, it might be frowned upon to have almost a meter of pipe sticking out

Sure, I've already removed the booster. It's located on the firewall on the passengers side. I'll put up a picture after work

Sounds a bit pricey, even if it does have wheels desirable to some/many.

99% of the time i would say go widescreen but in this case its clearly the 1% for me. The 4:3 wood frame unit is the winner

I heard a rumour that there are a lot of pullers on some other Euro Forums that may be able to help you selecting a very reliable frequent puller

Got a replacement getrag 260 pfl e30 gearbox for a steal at 300 bucks. Seems to be in good nick. Hopefully it doesnt have the synchro sitting in pieces near the drainplug like the one in my car which I found last week after trying to change into second gear and hearing a humming noise. Will be rebuilding the box in my car and keeping it as a spare or could be sale for the right price after rebuild. Also sold my BBS rg239s to some kid who wants to use them as skid rims and was pestering me for em at the shop. Its amazing what you hear when your exhaust is at a sensible noise level. Never would of thought the box was a problem. Sigh
