I agree too. I personally didn't take or edit the photos. Yeah the kit is standard, I've only added a flipped EZ lip to the spoiler. Next time my mates over with the camera maybe we can get some better shots. Cheers

This is Arild Martinsen's 4x4 M3 from 1988 in action. Well, it started life as an M3, and then received an X-trac transplant - hence the 4-bolt rims. The engine is M10-derived... Whether that means it is the original S14 or even an M12, I don't know. It does have a heffin' great turbocharger bolted to it, helping make 700bhp. It's safe to say it goes a bit. https://youtu.be/5g8eoT0M2sI

^ thats really impressive fuel economy considering the weight! I did about 780kms in my 330i msport sedan a few years ago but with just me and one passenger.

Got back from the annual holiday, 1500kms in the wife e36 328i , can't believe that it achieved 700kms on a tank, 4 up with the boot filled to within one wafer of capacity. Non M suspension soaked up the bumps well. Might scrap the x5 replacement idea of another year ....

Brought a trolley jack (finally) for the E36... just a 2.5t SCA jobbie but it's low and strong (and f'ing heavy). Will do the trick and save some winding. Also disassembled one of my Recaro SR3's in prep for getting them cleaned up and reupholstered, not too difficult after all.

They're a blast, one of the best handling cars of the era and just awesome in the twisties. I was stunned when I drove one for the first time, I was used to 4WD turbos - I had a 4G63 VR-4 and Evo IV at the time - and the MX5 was almost as capable as the Evo in the corners (albeit much slower). Needs strut tower bars front and rear and is very dependant on good shocks and bushings but all easy maintenance. Just be prepared to be called a gay hairdresser.

People who own them are happy - rear wheel drive and handles like a go kart. People who know people who own one give them endless sh!t

The "optionals" would be the automatic engine oil and coolant recycling system which fills the stone tray and gets emptied when the service is carried out
