Just found these at the Warehouse, thought some might be interested. They have e30 M3, Z4M, the old M1 and a K-series motor bike

Bought another car to tide me over. Another black motorsport e46 wagon, but with a m54b25 in it. I need to pull the head off my car and have a look before I settle on which direction I'm gonna go, but its now officially a project car. Will either put the m54 from the parts car in it or go full retard and squeeze in a m60 or m62. I've just been so busy with work, and helping a mate with his e36, that I haven't had the time (or the heart) to pull the head yet.

Yes, but what was the car like?

Zero, if my wife saw this post your days on this earth would be limited ? Might pay to take a second glance every time you see a blue e36 328i......you've been warned

What'd I do to my BMW today? "you remember last time, when I was talking about next steps (last week I did oil, oil filter, air filter, cabin filter)".... Today I went to my mate's place to visit/catchup/work on his driveway. We: Changed out the fuel filter (more below) Flushed and bled the Brake Fluid. I had a few containers of fresh BNT RBF 500 (which is 599F rated - close to Motul RBF600 and under $20 per 500mls)... the brakes a much more firm now, and we got some bubbles out of the system as well. Braking is much firmer. Installed the 24mm Motorsport front ARB with new Febi ARB bushes. Upgrade from the 23mm. Now I *really* need to get the 20mm on the rear - Monday. Monday she's going into my trusty local BMW Independent to: Install the 20mm Motorsport rear ARB and new BMW ARB bushes. Upgrade from the 18mm. It'll match the rear to the front, I think. Replace the rear trailing arm bushes with Meyle HD, and add delrin reinforcement shims Repair the rear and front screenwash (rear dead, front flagging) 4 wheel alignment Then I can fit new wipers front and rear. And locate the source of my damp carpets. Oh, about the fuel filter. What a Pr*ck of a job, laying on your back on the driveway. I had new 7.9mm ID high pressure fuel hose, new vacuum hose, new hose clamps, silicon grease, and the filter (of course). I found cutting the old hoses off a right bugger. Fortunately we had a drain pan to catch the spillage. Now here's the fun bit. Despite thinking through it, I managed to confuse the inlet with the return. I had fuel coming out the outlet, figured it was ok. zipped it all up. reinstalled the fuse. dzzzzzzzzzt. no starting. And a funny 'ftttttt' under the hood. Thought our way through it, looked for fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the fuel rail.... and zip, no fuel pressure. Oh. must have the inlet and return reversed. Consulted the Bentley manual. Yep, theory confirmed. Jacked her up again, supported her, removed the cover, found I'd not secured the bracket correctly... reversed the connections, secured the filter correctly, tested for fuel pressure - YEP. Zipped her up, started fine. Result. So what we'd figured through and interpreted as correct function was fuel from the return line flowing back along the line, passing into 'inlet', passing through the filter to 'outlet'. When it's correctly setup, no fuel comes in from the pump, as the pump's off. #8 ) So the moral of the story, don't mix up your inlet and return! D'oh! #8 ) PS: I'm sore, tired, but very happy with the outcomes. My thanks to Herbmeister for excellent advice, Brent BM World for easy supply of the ARBs I sought, and the search bicycle for previous discussions here. I found some excellent posts from Ron, Dave and others about e36 setup, ARBs, Springs etc that helped me consider the right solutions. PPS: BNT RBF500 has a street in-service life of 12 months. That'll do me.

Did a bodge job to fix a squealing belt pulley and took it off and sprayed the guts of it with CRC. Obviously that won't last but it's a sealed unit and I can't get grease in there. Quite annoyed actually because it's only 5,000 km's old. I'll need to replace it. But on a better note, picked up some track rims and tyres from Rowan, cheers dude.

Hi all, I am the lucky new owner of one of a kind BMW - Brent's 1986 E28 535i. What a great car, and somome of you may know the car more than I do. I haven't got a chance to take her out for a spin yet, but if the weather permitted this weekend I will definitely took her out for a spin. Just be gentle when you see me nanaing on the road lol

looking at the images, the style 15's they're the beluga caviar to my perrier jouet le belle epoque. style 32's are simply Moet NV with some average fois gras, in comparison. Fois Gras and Moet is certainly nice, but beluga and vintage limited release champagne, is something else indeed. Graham, I expect you to have acquired these style 15's before next week begins, in case they vanish! Do it for humanity.... do it, for the whales and the geese!

I had a similar problem, when engine was cold, clutch was just ok, but after 30 mins of driving around town it craunched when ever I selected first. Checked that the clutch had no slip by revving to 3000rpm in 3rd and dropping the clutch, result- instant stall, so clutch fine, no fluid leaks. JG BMW suggested, in fact said that would be the slave and they were right. Braided lines would have helped too as Dave said.

Went in on Friday afternoon to do some more work and things were going well, on track to have the engine in the car this weekend. Until I went to swap the exhaust manifold to the e28 one. This is where things came to a halt, much like a stance car that has hit an unforseen bump. So 9 of the studs came out nicely, either stud and nut or nuts came off. But 3 didn't want to play along, snapping under the nut. There was some stud protruding so I thought it was in luck. However this was not the case. I tried doing the double nut trick, welding the nuts to the studs, vice grips etc. Either the stud would not budge, or it just snapped, leaving me nothing to work with. Still, not the end of the world, time for the drill. So I went about trying to drill them out, which went well on 2 of them, however on the third, the drill bit snapped inside the hole. If my emotions at the time could be expressed in an image, I think this would be fitting: The offending obstruction that will need extraction: If this wasn't enough to set me off, I went to try and buy some tools I thought might work to try and resolve this sinkhole of a situation, such as carbine tungsten drill bits to hopefully drill through the drill bit, every shop I went to was either closed or had nothing. So not only do I now have extra expenses and the awaiting of a very unpleasant task, but my weekend is also wasted as I couldn't do anything further. Which has also delayed my driveshaft as I can't drop it off to be modified until I am sure how long it needs to be, which I need the motor in for. So there you have it. Here I was hoping I could show you all how to do an M30 conversion in a week. Might be 2 weeks now.

Hired one for part of honeymoon in1999. Two weeks of top down fun. Great little car, was a 1.9. Some of the best motoring had in a BMW and on pair with e46 m3 . Couple years later I win a weekend BMWNZ drive of the 3.0 version. Still fun but really annoying exhaust drone around 109 kmh. Auto gearbox was very lazy ( are these adaptive?) so either nothing when overtaking or full on to the point of loosing traction on tight 2-3rd corners. For me the 1.9 manual was a great drive and the 3.0 auto wasn't a great experience. I thinking I'll get one of these (1.9) for the daughters first car, but have been thinking of one for the comute.

I love my e46 Clubsport (purple tag) rack - absolutely brilliant.

^ this. Requires a cert now right?

Can't tell you about the Z3 rack although I have one now sitting in the garage. What I can tell you is that the purple rack is an astonishing upgrade, I've had mine in for about 8 months now and will never look back, it makes a huge difference to how the front of the car feels and precision micro-drifts. But I do understand the original 3.0 and 3.2 racks are different? Therefore you may have a different experience. When the purple one first went in it felt very heavy and tight, I couldn't have imagined putting an even tighter one in. However now that I'm used to it it just seems normal and I'm willing to experiment with the Z3 rack when I get around to it. It's actually not as much of a leap (in ratio) from E46 > Z3 as it was to go from E36 > E46 so perhaps the change in feel won't be so dramatic either. I did have to modify the inner tie rods to allow the E46 rack to vent but many don't. I don't think this is required for the Z3 rack. I'm positive you'll be happy with the E46 one and pretty sure you'll be at least as happy with the Z3 one. I do hear that the Z3 one is quite a bit more maintenance on the open roads so that's what I'm most cautious of.

My B6's are fine some 40k kms in. Was using stock springs and bars for a while then swapped to Eibach and that made quite a difference really, no doubt because they're designed for one and other. It's a bit lower but not much. Using 15mm spring pads in the rear so my 255/18's clear.

It's probably what the car dealer told him when he brought it. There's a lot of clueless ones. This guy possibly believed them, and genuinely thinks it's true?

Notice the username! "Sweetjanice" lol. I wonder who where's the pants on that relationship. He probably wanted an m3 but his wife convinced him a 318ti msport would be just as good. Sent from my SM-N910U using Tapatalk

it's not exactly a pristene time capsule, but appears reasonably tidy and not screwed around with. I'd pay $14k if I had the cash. "supercar" is pushing the envelope a bit, I think.

Was a good day train-spotting yesterday. Followed a new 640d on the way to work, then an e90 sedan m3, then seen an e60 m5, two current gen m3's and an m5! All in my m3 while heading to oamaru for work, to what I thought was to change a light bulb so took that instead of the mighty mondeo. Was good to take her out for a decent drive. Also, got to job, light worked fine. Silly old people.

you feeling the E30 itch after hanging out with 5 of them today?? Been on that lot for over a year, i have seen it a bunch of times, never bothered to pull over and look though, the number in the window tells me all i need to know. worth Half that if its a 325i manual. Will also give a set of black grills 100% free of charge to anyone that buys it so i never have to see it like that again.
