Stunning rally drive by Canterbury teenager Could be one to watch. Love the story where they share why they chose BMW as their rally platform. The cat's out of the bag now!

Retrofitted an E9x M3 LSD and 1/2 shafts into my E90 335 to make sure that the rear can handle whatever is thrown at it. Highly recommended conversion.

It was a good drive alright! To his advantage, he was seeded right down the list, giving him some very swept roads. The top 10 couldn't even accelerate let alone turn on many stages. I love seeing young guys doing well in lesser machines, thats why rally is awesome sometimes, on a blind road it comes down to talent not budget and repetition like it does on a track. The little TI is a great platform for rally, there are some very fast drivers in TI's here in NZ. BMW's were good on ice back in the 90's!

So basically picked the BMW for the same reason people picked Escorts 10 years ago

Will keep you in mind The engine had just had the head gaskits and a whole lot of stuff done, needs new front guard, nosecone, bonnet and engine mounts replacing. Someone has tried to break into it at some point too so gotta get a new rear side window. Should hopefully be able to get her all going within the week and back on the road!

I did a thing, now I own 2 Helrot Red 1997 Ti's Managed to trade my old engine and a small sum of cash for a crashed M-sport model, so will take all the nice goodies from it and transfer onto my car and fix up this one to chuck back on the road as a little bit of a daily to run about in and then to resell on.

I use EBC greens, went through cert no problems. Machined rotors, fresh fluid and good brake hoses is a must.

Correct. Needed a wagon for work/dogs and got a great deal on a 328i wagon. Had no problems shifting the E30. First viewer took it!

Depends on size of vehicle mate - see more at http://www.ocdetailing.co.nz/exterior-ceramic-coatings.html Also note these prices do not include detailing preparation (normally a Stage 3 or Stage 4) - see this here: http://www.ocdetailing.co.nz/detailing-packages.html Dropped a client off in MTOY this arvo, should do that more often so much fun.

I went with Bilstein sports all around with Apex springs. Sits nice and rides beautifully. Very sports feel, not too harsh.

Big brake upgrade completed! e34 540i upgrade on all four corners, all much bigger diameter, and vented. Full flush and new fluid. Significant improvement in the braking dept. Haven't given them a full test as yet, will give the new pads an opportunity to bed in first.

We were being raped hard. Now we're being raped a little less hard. We're still being raped and that's reason enough to complain. The government had a perfect opportunity to introduce market prices or competition here for our benefit and they failed us (again).

Basically I was already frustrated at the costs, and now a new provider has come along bringing hope of a change from the disgusting price-gouging of the past... only to do the same thing. So I am letting them know that I do not appreciate it. Also motorcycle levies have not changed, and the justification for that was the fact the money is used for safety initiatives. Basically if the europlate upgrade was $150 they would have $150 from me. Because it is $450 they will never get a cent from me. I'd probably do it to 2 or 3 of my cars if it was affordable too, but at $450 just to get a plate that fits my car correctly and doesn't require extra holes drilled in my bodywork it's just not a justifiable price. I don't have a brand new expensive car or lots of money, all I want is a plate that fits my car without having to sell my kidney.

Had a Tesla Model S for the weekend. Went on a road trip up to a massive cars and coffee meet (2000-2500 cars). Tesla is amazing. Loved every bit of it. From the Auto Drive feature to the always there torque. Didn't miss an exhaust note the entire drive. 200+ miles to a charge. Charges for free in about 45mins to an hour at well placed stations. We did about 470miles and 80% of that it drove itself. I just sat there looking around. Was strange. Would happily own one as my daily driver. And the petrol burner for the track only.
