Have seen issues with how much the engine and box move around in a race car running standard mounts. Not sure it would be worthwhile in a road car though?

Do you specifically want to live near the Airport to be close to your workplace? Avonhead and Ilam are good suburbs. Ilam has a lot of students due to its proximity to the University. Avonhead is more family oriented, lots of schools / kindys, quiet cul de sacs and suburban shopping. Not so much in the way of entertainment. If you move a bit closer in to Riccarton you get the benefit of being close to Westfield Mall, and only a short taxi to either Addington with the rugby stadium and bars on Lincoln Road, or to Victoria Street / Carlton Corner where again there is more in the way of bars and restaurants.

I've stuck with OEM (mostly Lemforder or Rein), or uprated (Meyle HD) where available, for general drivability. I recently read a discussion from a bunch of friends who went through uni together, and are all development engineers for car manufacturers or race teams in Europe. Their specific chat about OEM/Rubber vs Poly bushes was that when they poly'd anything, although it was stiffer and initially handled better, they usually turned to mush under a good development test pilot within an hour; whereas although rubber wasn't quite as stiff to start with and did deteriorate, it was still doing what it should do in the same hours hammering on the circuit. Conclusion - Rubber is still used for a reason. These guys all scoffed at the idea of putting poly bushes in their own rides, BMWs, Audis, classic Porsches. Your mileage may vary.

The BMW Coolant is actually cheap - Retail on some decent stuff at Repco was about the same as I got the genuine stuff from Milland for.

Hey guys Been trying to sell the e28 for a while now but haven't quite managed to get it over the line. Would be great for it to go to an enthusiast as it really is a great car in particularly good condition for its age. Let me know if you have any questions or feedback. Cheers Gavin

I actually think my friend has a set of these on a 318ti he is selling on behalf of his mum. Probably better condition. Might ask and see if he wants to sell them separately and I can hook him up with a different set of wheels for the compact to sell. pm me your number and I will be in touch.

Progress... Seats, carpet etc all stripped. Mocking up seat rails: Dash out, seat base/rails all ready for paint. Test fitting front laterals here. Cage is a standard 6 point kit from Racecraft in Christchurch. To say the fitment is great is an understatement. Measuring up main hoop for trimming etc. And pic of the front laterals and main hoop notched and ready to be dropped and welded. Since taking these pics the windscreen bar's been welded in as well so will hopefully be mostly done by the end of the week. Still have to install floor plates and lugs for harnesses and then it'll be back in my garage for the long awaited heart transplant. Good times.

Got married and the wedding car was my very own e30. Massive thanks to RAERAE and Simon for helping getting her back together in time. Wedding was on the 1st day of spring. Best day of my life

This ones done itself a small mischief. Previous owner lived across the road. Had a broken headlight, bumper and smacked in guard before it moved on. Made funny noises before the prang too.
