Hi People, If you thought your old TV tuner is obsolete, dont throw it away just yet! I have just modded my unit with the tuner adaptor card mod from this Site: Link. Straight forward mod really, the most "difficult" part was to solder 1x wire internally - not too tricky at all! (also depends on your current tuner type.. (see site)) there is plenty of info on the site regarding the mod and the types of units are best etc.. the tuner has a usb input so you can play video files etc and PVR function also. it works well with the steering wheel controls, and the ibus adaptor has integrated the std monitor buttons to do all the required tuner functions, which takes a bit to get your head around but once its set, you dont have to play with much apart from the channel up / down... the definition isn't exactly perfect but its stepped down to basic old RGB 7 inch screen stuff so dont expect too much... see attached works ok at speed, but suffers as any TV tuner would going in and out of good coverage.. depends on your location of course.. Any Questions, just ask..

Ok, after much deliberation on what to replace an E38 with. I've gone with the S8 Audi. Keeping the Silver E38, can't part with that. I looked at a few E65s and after throwing up in my mouth consistently, I decided I needed to look elsewhere. E60 550, been there. Options on large sedans with autos and pace with style are quite limited and this baby ticks all the boxes. It's a NZ New, 1 owner with full Audi service history, 140ks. love the look and the options boxes are well ticked. V10 5.2l 450hp, B&O upgrade audio, keyless entry. All the full A8 options. Drove back from Auckland, got 11.6l/100ks which was better then I thought. Included some spirited Action from the V10, sounds quiet glorious through the hills. will keep a running record of maintenance and ownership here

No, they all do it from the factory, it's normal. Theories abound but the prevailing suggestion is that it was designed into the car to compensate for a driver sitting in a LHD vehicle. General consideration is that it makes no difference but if you want to corner balance the car you'll need to use 15mm spring pads in the rear and 10mm pads in the front on the right hand side.

they're fair, though I'd suggest he should have shot all images from the west facing east to maximise the golden light and turned the car. the photos of the left side are all under-exposed. The processing is heavy-handed and overblown - like instagram filters. Still, if you like that kind of thing.... fussy? moi?

Did you happen to purchase a certain E36, or just new wheels?

Pretty sure they have a Typ 215/220k diff and the same (big) brakes as the 330i Quick trip to RealOEM will set you straight. [edit]That is what RealOEM says, Couldn't help myself[/edit]

Just beautiful! Amazing condition - interior is impressive! Attaching pics for posterity so we don't lose them when the listing on TM goes

Awesome, will be following this. The price of those S8 are coming down steadily, and they are a lot of car, tech and power for the money.

Is there a Hartge H35 in NZ? Saw a black M3-a-like on SH1 this morning. LHD, obviously. Thought "that looks nice, although ride height may be a little off for an E30 M3." Did a double take... No BMW badges at all. Nothing. It was stationery in the left lane on the approach to Papakura from Drury. Hartge logo on left side rear, H35-24 badge on right side rear. Correct elevated rear spoiler. Correct flattened oval tailpipe. Correct Hartge rims (from the look of them) with centre cap logo. Hartge logo on the right (passenger) side of the front grill. Very shiny. Very, very very nice.

They are getting blasted in the question section, took a screenshot to preserve this.,.. I'm tempted to post those screenshots to their Facebook page but don't want the attention, if anyone else would like to, feel free to use my screenshots. Edit: Done. Their page only lets you post 1 photo at a time and they review it before it shows up, so it'll probably never be seen...

Yeah its a tricky one. My Toyota with its old 4 speed had a radiator leak so coolant got into the trans cooler line, meant the trans was buggered and needed a rebuild Old owner had it done in 2005 at a cost of $3000 In my mind that was a crazy expendature as lazy toyota rwd autos can be had used for a couple of hundred bucks, and are 90% of the time in perfectly fine condition The main issue I had with the car was the auto felt bad, didn't shift right and was clunky, to the extend I found it had damaged the diff crown gear teeth, something I'd never seen on such. Even after a replacement diff it still felt bad. So it showed me even gearboxes with work done, don't necessarily mean they are going to be like new again, varying component spec and work standards must have a lot to do with it.
