That brings us to this weekend. A few things left before I can put it back on the ground. The front control arm bushes were upgraded. Had some trouble getting one of the front bushings off the control arm. Lollipops cleaned up, painted, with Powerflex bushes pressed in. They were quickly bolted back into the car along with the exhaust. The brakes were bled and the wheels went on. Finally ready to drop back on the ground. Looking good! I am very happy with how well the 16x7 et20 style 5s fit. The front and rear will need to be lowered some more. The front is still on the 6kg spring that comes with the BC Gold kit. The rear sits a bit higher now as I got higher rate, 8kg spring to help support the extra weight of the touring rear. The fenders will all need rolling, but that's a job for another weekend. Stoked!

Update Thermostat got sorted Haven't managed to find the exact replacement lights yet Have a stone chip in the windscreen now - need to get that repaired. Damned trucks! Getting the steering wheel refurbed this Wednesday by Andrew (fellow Club member) from FibreNew. On another note, had the X5 front bumper resprayed by Laurenson Auto Refinishing in Porirua. Looks much better now Before... After...

Big shout out to @promo for recoding my e92. Bought a factory head unit with Bluetooth a few years back however voice commands and other various functions weren’t quite right after installing. I’m no longer shouted at in Dutch when I hit the voice command button and the sound from the stereo is much better! Also nice that the Bluetooth volume isn’t at max anymore! Tempted to have a remap which he can also arrange.

Drivers leather seat wiring and buckle successfully swapped out. Gave the interior a good clean out. Don’t think it had been cleaned in years, lots of built up skin oils and filth around all the switches/buttons and handles. Gave it a good clean on the outside too. Years of neglect by the looks with dirt, moss, leaves etc stuck around the corners of the boot door jam and other trims.

Dads E30 was an april 1990 built NZ 325i SE - it had no charcola cannister... just a hose ? No cats either - standard NZ issue at the time.

Here's an unusual one. Built by Antem Mochet, it runs a 750cc engine from BMW built by the Centre des Etudes des Moteurs à Explosion et à Combustion (CEMEC). In post-WW2 France, CEMEC continued the construction of BMW motorcycles taken from the German occupying forces. Two were built. One for Mochet himself (who was a maker of microcars) and one for racing. The car didn't reach production and Mochet went back to much smaller engines.

Never been the biggest fan of these over fender kits but the Live To Offend one is nice! If I had a beat up E30 and a spare $9k I would think about it.

There’s a couple of black E30 Coupes and one white one on there at the moment, all reasonably priced at $110k+ ? They are M3s though (but still over priced).

Yep I just did it before you posted. I thought when i saw it move 5mm the bolt was not effecting it but yeah now I have it out yep still dont quite get how it was able to move at all with that in there but anyway. Shows how many bmw columns iv removed. My mercedes is a dream compared to this of course its later model.... thats my excuse for my dimwittedness anyway. I ended up with the headers lying all over it and the steering in the wrong orientation to remove the bolt.... just me making my life difficult.... LOL Anyway now I can hopefully make some progress!
