They do it all before your package has left the US, proactively contact you, email you the details, and advise that if you pay before x date, there will be no delay at the border. Service, really. They make it work. Hooray for service, and processes that work. FWIW I've never had any questionable charges on FedEx, as they source it all from the shipping information. FCP always get this right. MyUS always get this right. Garbage in, Garbage out. Hint: FCP Euro use FedEx as a shipping option, and it's usually the cheapest option. HTH

Geez, from what I’ve heard about the N46b20, I thought they’d be out of stock.

Couldn't find anything on here regarding the XHP tune when I searched, was looking for members opinions. So thought I would post mine. I tuned stage 2 on Tuesday, and for me personally, this is possibly the best "mod" I have made to the car. Im on MHD1+, catted dp's etc. - and while the extra power is nice, it's not that usable all the time. The xhp tune however makes every aspect of driving the car better. Drive mode is sooo much smoother now. Gone are the sometimes jolty changes with the car is cold. Every change is smoother and the shift points are better for me. I'll definitely be using less gass. Swapping to manual and the speed in changes is amazing! The car pulls off from a stop so surely now, no more sluggish feeling. No more dropping to 1st by itself as im mid roundabout and making a racket. Throttle blipping on downshifts is glorious. No point in this post other to say, if you've been driving a e90 for a while and are really accustomed to it's nature, you'll notice a massive improvement with this flash.

I currently run the Eibach Pro Kit on my M3 with stock shocks - it's a mild drop and not impractical at all in terms of ride height. My stock shocks only have +/- 70k on them and still feel as if they're in reasonable order hence I haven't upgraded those yet. If my M3 saw more use and spirited driving I would be upgrading the shocks sooner rather than later however. I did purchase a set of Koni Yellows through George Stocks for my E46 Touring and that made a big improvement to the ride. I recommend them if you want to avoid the cost and hassle associated with the coilover option. The only problem with those is that rear rebound adjustability is a nightmare if you intend on playing around with the settings. Unfortunately in NZ there aren't many options for locally supplied coilovers other than BC's. As mentioned above, Demontweeks, Schmiedmann etc would likely be your best bet if you're after a decent set of coilovers.

I think its worth the money to upgrade the shocks konis or bilstiens, as the stock shocks are not renowned for their longevity. To save money have a look at importing from demontweeks in Wales as its usually the cheapest source even after taxes and shipping.

Im sure they can read but never bothered to pickup the book in the first place so to speak. Im sure by now they are quick at reading that bottom corner of the invoice.

The amount of bad sh*t that is out there about them, it is clear anyone who buys an N46B20 can't read.

NZPost has always been the worst and I avoid them wherever possible. My orders from Schmeidmann come straight to my door from Europe within a few days - its pretty impressive.

I think I’ve recommended this before. Use FedEx. And if your supplier in the US doesn’t, sign up with MyUS.com, so you can control how and when. And you can choose FedEx. NZPost, UPS, USPS, all largely dysfunctional as soon as customs charges are concerned.

I'm not fussed about there being duties due - that's a given. One of those suck-it-up things. Still half the price of buying here. It's just that it takes them so bloody <tumbleweed> long... to get things sorted. They seem completely useless and totally incapable of getting something very straightforward sorted. If I wasn't saving hundreds of $$$ I'd've bought locally.

Things may have changed regarding business vs personal, but i'm pretty sure zero flying fricks are given. Same rule, they will collect If the GST/Duty/Charges exceed NZ$60 on the entire purchase (Value of goods AND freight (I think the last part is bullshit)) at the time of landing. They tried to frick me on the last part one time, as my USD$WHATEVER was NZ$398ish charged to my card, but by the time it arrived the NZD had dropped in value and my goods became worth NZ$405ish. I sent them a copy of my credit card statement showing NZ$398ish deducted by the vendor and basically told them to get fricked, and they let it through.

lol - because they don't want to have to spend $5000 on sh*t that goes wrong in the next 24 months. I must say it's a sharp price, perhaps a little too sharp in today's market, I'd want to look at it very, very closely. On the other hand the seller may just need a quick cash sale and it all could be kosher. VANOS and subframe are obvious considerations. It would make a better daily than my M3 that's for sure... and it would be more fun than an auto 130... hmm... (NO David, NO!).
