3 pointsAt this stage the Engine and trans will be 3rd Gen Hemi with a 5 speed auto, maybe a T56 but I see this as more of a cruiser. I have Garys book, great read. I will most likjely do a rack and pinion conversion and some for of big brake upgrade. Rear end is a Dana 60 so big HP will be no trouble. I has had some tin worm and it is in the process of having new sheet metal put into the floors. Comes with Grill, Dash, door cards etc.

1 pointI have the NT644 & confirmed it will not reset the service schedule (inspection anyway) on analogue system in the E30 but does read codes & show current data. It shows as having done reset but doesn't action. That said, nor does the much more elaborate Autel tablet scanner at work. I need to use the older Hanatech work scanner to do so.

1 pointYes will likely have a Gen3 Hemi V8 and rack and pinion steering. 69 Camaro's are lovely looking cars, like the E Body Mopars one of the best looking muscle cars ever. I personally think the Charger is the best looking Aussie Muscle car but do have a soft Spot for XB Falcon Coupes and A9X Torana Hatch backs.

1 pointYay mine is finally on way to my redirected address, I think it got held up due to initially going to a work address where everything was put on a hold for delivery.

1 pointThe PM has just announced (16:20 30/03) that distribution of non-essential items, including those from overseas is not in the spirit of the rules and not in the letter of the rules and she's asked MBIE to investigate. Expect these deliveries to taper off, perhaps sharply. It's pretty obvious that these retailers are taking the piss, and giving themselves an unfair competitive advantage, I hope it's stamped out quickly (and I also have goods in transit - but I think M3 suspension arms for my 130 are absolutely essential so I'm sure they'll be sweet).

1 pointFcpeuro order from the 25th March is in country, apparently will be delivered tomorrow. Will be stoked af if it happens, don't have a working vehicle atm.

1 pointSince lockdown I have received via courier - Supercheap fuel filter (ordered before lockdown) - scanner adapter ex-Auck (delivered today) post lockdown - According to Fedex notification my FCP package ordered post lockdown will arrive today. I assume if the courier companies/drivers have the capacity they will continue to deliver (make money) god bless them ??

1 pointHad a wee dabble at the drags last night for the first time. Had alot of fun! It was the 2nd to last round for the season so I was fortunate to be able to do pass after pass without any queues or interruption. Managed to do 10 passes and we still hadn't got into the competitive side of it. From the get go I was surprised at the time I was getting. At a guess I thought I'd be into the high 13's but after the first pass I was left red faced with a 14.8 After about 5 passes I was starting to get the hang of the staging process, getting traction, not bogging down, not worrying about the person next to me, gears etc. A mate text me (just happens to be this guy... https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12314779. He cut his teeth on racing Hondas at this track, so I knew i could trust his advice) and said to drop the rear tyre pressure to 15psi. Lo and behold, I managed to basically shave half a second by leaving the line at higher revs and get a personal best of 14.2. Next time (28th of March) I want to be able to get to the 13s. The above mentioned mate said he'll lend me some proper wheels, perks of the early Hondas and the e30 having the same stud pattern! I'll also take out the sub, spare tyre in an attempt to shave a 0.1 or so off. All in all, heaps of fun and I was stoked the motor/diff/cooling swap stood up to the evening at Meremere.
