2 pointsProud (ish) owner of a 2008 335i E91 91k Goes like stink and nice and smooth. Just lately on starting, ABS, tyre pressure and stability warning comes on. Drive a bit. Turn off and on and all OK. Hence the proud (ish) Just wanted to say hi

2 pointsI agree. However if you are ordering from FCP just grab the coolant at the same time. Unless they are now charging a lot more for it now. It was $5 extra last time I got it. Saves having to go to supercheap.

1 pointSome of the silvers BMW does makes the cars look like they are made from liquid mercury. Congrats, lovely colour.

1 point@Sammo Yessss mate! Saw that on FB and was going to tag you but a bunch of people already have! Hope it turns out to be worth it.

1 pointAwesome, Good luck ! Rust would be my biggest concern with these cars now but I’m sure you’ve researched all the common fault areas.

1 pointWhat a bargain if it does come close to their estimated price! Re the e28 vs e30. Correct me if I’m wrong but I got the impression that e28/e34 parts (2nd hand or new) are harder to source / more expensive than e30 / e36? So it would be harder to restore if you’re not the type to / unable to afford to buy a mint one? I mean that’s why I didn’t opt for one, that and because it’s not a 2 door 😆. Maybe that’s why there’s not much of a market compared to the e30? To be fair though, why does one have to be better than the other? I’d rather appreciate them both in what each car respectively offers. If I can have both or several other cars, I would. To some, sentimental value is worth more than drivability / performance / looks, so then does that mean that they ‘invested’ / own a crap car? Don’t get me wrong, it’s interesting to compare different models but if we’re really just putting performance / numbers as the top goal then both e28 and e30 would be considered lemons compared to a modern day car.

1 pointAnd here listed on Webbs (same car) for an estimate of $32-35K (with a buyers premium of 15% GST??!) https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/3368690303?bof=8UNmYrL6

1 pointYep I'm binning the PS4S next time and going with Hankook. Also used Penrite 10w60 in my M5.
-
1 pointLooking fab Chris, lovin' the track look. I'm assuming, no confirmation required, that "essential services" requires a 100mph speed test... just to make sure the tyres and brakes are up to spec. 😜
-
1 pointIt's only cosmetic, so I'd just say don't consider the coating as a worthwhile selling point. I think the OEM discs for that model are uncoated anyway so will do the same. If you have rims that make the centre of the brake discs prominently visible it's just nicer to have some kind of coated or two-piece disc. What you can also do is just buy an uncoated disc and then paint it with high temp paint - something rated for brake calipers will do.

1 pointHey mate, PM me. Mines pretty much identical, higher kms but I’ve had mine valued for insurance purposes a couple of months back. Cheers, Andrew
