    Evening everyone, A wave of rational judgement and an adult-like level of responsibility has appeared to have washed over me in the last few days, and I have decided to put my 2008 BMW 130i up for sale to Bimmersport members. I would like to see the car go to an enthusiast who can either daily it, or do something cool with it! Bought it on a whim just over a month ago because I've never owned a straight six BMW (somehow), and the 130i has been a car on my ultimate daily driver bucket list since I was about 12. I've done 1000ks in it, so I feel I can tick it off my list now as I already have two other daily drivers, and too many weekend toys (as some of you will know), so I genuinely have no use for this car. So anyway, enough waffle, here are the details you want to know: 2008 BMW 130i Automatic 250,700 km Le Mans Blue WOF until 28/07/2023 Rego until 21/10/2023 Rare(ish?) Style 216 Wheels (they do genuinely get frequent compliments) 2 Keys AC blows nice and cold Heated Seats work a treat Transmission Serviced Was also told by previous owner that water pump & coils have been done prior to him, can't find any paper-work but given the ks and the fact the car runs really nicely, I am inclined to believe him. Tyres are fine - front has lots of tread, rears have a bit less but should still easily pass WOF. Car drives great, no funny vibrations, engine pulls well and sounds good - found a set of poly bushes in the boot so I think it may have been enthusiast owned in the past. Here I will insert the cliche "you wouldn't be able to tell its done this many ks unless you looked at the odometer" No warning lights, however the car is due an oil change. Bonnet gas struts are also tired - can throw in a free stick. Cosmetically the car presents well, but also has its fair share of scars consistent with the mileage (if you look past the front bumper). There is NO clear coat peel and the paint is generally quite nice. There's a few carpark dents here and there, scrape on the corner of the rear bumper and the typical rock chips but the dark Le Mans blue hides most of it well. Now to talk about the ugly elephant in the room - the front bumper - its pretty rooted. Paint is coming off and the splitter is cracked. The going rate for an E87 M Sport bumper seems to be around the $300-$400 mark, so you would just need to wait for a Le Mans blue one to come up and then the car would be relatively tidy all things considered. You could also just hit it with some colour matched paint as a temporary fix to cover the glaring areas of paint damage. There's also a dent in the bonnet just below the badge - luckily its quite symmetrical so is less prone to triggering OCD. Given the higher than average ks, need of an oil change and the fact the front bumper looks rougher than the NZ economy at the moment, I am pricing it at $4,000. Budget abut $500 for a new bumper and a DIY oil change and its a pretty nice car - especially being LCI and in the best 130i colour... with the best wheels, in my non biased opinion... obviously

    I don't 100% trust this to follow me to the UK in one piece so thought I would guage any interest here. Owes me $530. Beautiful piece, only test fitted. Push in coil type. Probably fits M52TU aswell.

    After 4 months off the road (the day after I bought it), it's sorted for the meantime.... A heap of fun with the SSG box and something just a bit different... it goes very well... had to run the software for the SSG bleeding and adaptions. Things sorted include; OFHG leak, slave cyl leak, new WP, Thermo, plugs, CCV hoses, idlers, exp tank, engine and trans mounts, full underside clean, new road wheel, replacement steering wheel, new gearknob, curb rash, headlight fog, bit of paint, trim, emblems etc etc etc... After a breather, may get into a bit of painting... Be keen to know of any detail as to how many clubsports may be around?

    Highly recommend. The servicing on my one has been minimal. I think the only time it actually failed was when one of the fuel pumps died which is actually a common issue.

    $13500ono.. wow. Would rather the Blue one on here and $9500 to spend. Must be early 2000's Alpine prices.

    Non Ms don't have the power to damage the subframe through normal driving in my experience (autos particularly - I can't even break traction in my auto 325i let alone break something). I repaired a few back when I was in panels but they were all M3 SMG. 200k is a low km M54, barely ran in, and you can't get a much more simpler engine to work on imho. Great cars (coming from an ex E36 only guy). Good luck with your hunt.

    Probably the best bet. I doubt there's many E46's non M's around with subframe floor done properly. K's dont matter much at this point in time as all parts likely need to be refreshed anyway due to age.

    On my Touran, you open the rear hatch, open the in-floor storage compartment, lift out the access panel where the "mobility kit" used to live, fold over the insulation sheet and there it is! Riveted to the floor, that was cut out and flipped over for the 4WD to get fitted šŸ˜‚ Lucky I always have the same WOF guy... but I still open it up every time šŸ˜

    Hi, Point taken I'm in the industrial rental market, our main customers being in the Oil and Gas industries. I'm a Tech/Operator, providing compressed air and steam as and where required.. Got to say we never realised just how much better the climate is over this side compared to the seemingly endless chaos featuring over on the east coast. Though I have to say we've been keeping an eye on the challenges facing you guys as well recently... Hope all on here are safe and well. RCV

    Long time, no update! Not a Heck of alot to tell on the E30 front. Had a dyno day Aug '21 that was great fun. Was interesting to see what power the M52 put out with 200,000kms on the clock. 122rwkw or 163hp at the wheels. We've recently moved south, so in the mean time the E30 has been put on the back burner (modification wise at least). Recently bought an E87 120d and it's turned out to be a lemon. So the e30 has come to the rescue! Happily carrying out the daily commute around Central Otago. Making some friends at work. And some more E30 goodness (or maybe sadness?) at a museum down here. Cars look to be in a pretty bad way. I don't think the owners realise the fairly recent rise in value of these cars over the last couple of years. Bought a replica Mtech1 spoiler from Mr Bodykits as I have always like the shape. Technically not correct being on a FL E30, but I like it! Only mocked up in the pictures. Need to colour code the forward portion and find a rubber like paint for the rear portion. And then mount it. Probably this weekends job.

    Gave the paint a going over with the Meguiar's DA microfiber system. Stopped using foam pads after i tried this as i found it delivers good results for minimal time and outlay. No swirls or holograms so maybe someone has cleaned well over the years or corrected it in the past? @hqstu ?. Got most of the light scratching out leaving some the time consuming deeper ones alone. With thinner clear and stone chips present in certain areas i dont think its worth the risk given the light blue hides defects very good. Ride height has increased a little with the new parts but im a fan of factory lowered height. Yet it scrap it in all the typical situations after a few 100 k's so should limit any bumper damage.

    A couple of snaps from Euro & Brit Classic Car Show this weekend. Was a cool day, definitely going back next year. The neighbouring Mercedes Club got sulky over us taking up too much room, made for some nostalgic rivalry. The 15" basketweaves are all refinished now too. I'm so stoked and can't wait to fit some tyres. Any recommendations from anyone on good 205/55r15? Seems to be an odd size with a limited amount of makes. Might go with Falken Ze914 as the reviews and price are pretty good. Also after some form of wheel sealer/wax make cleaning the cross weave design alot easier.
