Front rotors are the same as 6 pot E9x, and X1s. Front Calipers same as 4 pot E9x Rear calipers/rotors are the same as a swag of E9x and the mighty Zinoro M12 I dont care what you bolt them on, as long as its not my garage carpet like how they are currently installed

2001 740i M-Sport $7000 Genuine Msport 740i. Ex Japan, build date 21-3-2001. 195ks Sports diff so quicker of the mark the a std 740. Sports seats and black sports trim. 18” Mpars of cause with lower factory sports springs , rides lovely yet still handles really well. Too many cars and we’ve had 4 years, time to go to a new home. Lots of work completed on all the normal E38 things, this is our third E38 and unique being a sport. Pros Mechanically very good. Told Gear box was refurbished by previous owner and never had an issue. Timing chain guides, water pump etc all changed 2 yrs ago professionally completed. $5k Lots of coolant hoses and pipes changed. All the nasty rear ones and almost all the front ones. Water heater control valve recently rebuilt. Power steering lines and reservoir replaced Suspension rear control arms replaced. Front arms and thrust set replaced this year. Drives beautifully. Replaced front and rear license plate holder for Euro ones from Japanese for a cleaner look. Interior headliners A,B,C and rear parcel shelf all professionally recovered. Perfect and like new. Radio unit updated to NZ for RDS stations. Inside lights all replaced with led for an updated and modern look Reversing camera installed and links to the video unit Cons Pixels on dash need replacing. Outside is very tidy for a 20yr old car with a few stone chips and general marks Tyres are ok and passed recent warrant, probably only a year left in them

Went for a drive in the Brother Inlaws 2019 Beast in the weekend. Absolutely amazing. vehicle. I've never been so thrilled and scared at the same time with the performance and superb handing. I can't say where , what and how quick. Pity it's limited to 250kph ? The technology in this vehicle is amazing

Now you can go set some laps on the track with kids in the back seat and groceries in the front. Pointless car. Anyone buying this is driving it purely for the brand and look.

M3 badge for the trunk? ? Not sure how much they cost but I got a BMW golf umbrella once, that's quite cool. perhaps it doesn't need to be for the actual car, BMW have some cool caps and shirts (not sure on price though). Keyrings also, valve caps... etc?

While I'm prepping the next updates, here are a couple of the other cars I've built. Both of these were from bare (stripped) shells, full respays in and out, new interiors and engine rebuilds down to the last nut and bolt. Each took 2 years. The black Evo 3 ran high 10's at 200kph and scared the crap out of me on a regular basis. Sold back in 2010. Probably should've kept the white one, only 26,000 km and one of 5 RHD sunroof Evo 6's in Australasia. Sold back in 2015.

Car is back on the road. Another receipt for the folder... Looking at this photo I'm guessing that left broken mount is what they said they needed to weld up. Went home via VTNZ for a WOF. Got pulled up on the LED halo lights and the headlight adjusters need to be replaced, but it was a pass. I see the notes say the brake hoses need doing soon too. So nice to have remote locking and stereo controls on the steering wheel again. Fingers crossed this drum lasts longer than 40,000 km.

Thanks @Creaver Ian hows your manifolds coming along? let me know the sequence you get them on the motor too, save me a few hours trying Any how another weekend update, not much visually done but alot in respect to getting the thing driveable. Got the pedal box and clutch line in, (what a bloody mish that was) being upside down for a couple hours. Changed the diff oil . Rolled the guards Mocked up the alloy rad to make sure i knew what i needed to be welded from the Engineers, mainly a filler neck and overflow bottle. Took the brakes off the m3 and also will be going to the same engineers to get the carriers machined down by 5-6mm to fit the wagons hubs and disc to get skimmed too. So car is up and running but unable to start it with the key, once i get this wiring problem sorted ill get the exhust clip up. but untill then i cant move the car off the hoist as ill have no way of starting it on the ground. I have an auto sparky mate that works in another town that will be popping in two weeks time. Hopfully get it sorted by then. Thanks Team

Hey Team Just a small update. Did a little road trip up to Auckland over the weekend and picked up a 2nd hand set of XYZ 6pot 330mm brakes. Thanks to Raymond for giving me a great deal. But the high light of my trip was when i went to buy some fruit for the trip home around Greenlane. Saw this beast that caught my eye. I'd have to say the mintest 750i possibly in NZ. I was lucky enough to catch the owner while putting his grocery's in the boot. Donny is his name, brought this back in 96 brand NEW! at $270,000 haggled down from $300,000 WTF. has all the bells and whistles as he got to pick what add ons he wanted. Having AC Schnitzer body kit and 18inch mags made it look stunning. Custom two tone leather, T.V , Phone Sunroof etc. And heres the kicker for a 21 year old car Donny's only done 90,000kms in it. Had a good old yarn with him and took some pictures. I said this will probably be the only time i would see this. Bloody awesome
