I found "listing withdrawn by seller". My point of view differs slightly from yours, Kyu. I'm buying, and I want to know what brand they are selling me. I make my own value judgement on whether it's a reasonable price. We don't rock up to the supermarket for a packet of peas, and get given their choice of plain-pack per; we have a choice and if we prefer McKain or Watties, we choose for ourselves. We can choose to buy from eBay, or the local BMW dealer, or even Aliexpress. This vendor's behaviour is more likely to drive those behaviours, IMHO. Who's to say the vendor wasn't selling OEM? We don't know, as he won't respond to anyone. I'd not buy from anyone evasive of the origin of their wares.

depends on the brand? u can buy new low budget brands for less than 1000 from a shop fitted, but if its michelin ps4s then it would be too cheap!

176,000 kms. If there was one thing that my E39 530i taught me it was that one E39 is not enough. I loved that car. It rode beautifully, was uber comfortable and had a silky smooth straight six. But it was these exact things that I disliked about it too. It was too comfortable, too relaxed and too quiet. It rolled around corners, the standard seats had little support and I quickly grew used to the 230BHP/220 lb.ft power figures. Then a 540i came into the picture. NZ new, facelift, fully original, great spec and genuine motorsport. While not in my favourite colour for the E39, and not without issues, the spec and price won me over. So, here it is:

Why the M badge delete? As far as I'm aware the NZ new m sports had them from new so "factory"? Mine is staying right where it is...

There are far more knowledgeable people than me on this board, but vacuum leak would be first guess. The rubber plugs at the back of the manifold tend to tear or sometimes completely fall off. Have you done a smoke test?

Hey @qube, I've got four tyres for sale. They are 255/35/18 and brand new. Is $1000 for all four a fair price?

I'm a little late to the party with this tune, but finally got around to it. Added shift lights, removed speed cut and selected the most aggressive 'pop & crackle' option as I wish to retain my cats for WOF (or what's left of them). Can confirm that Supersprint exhaust + this tune is something else indeed...! There seems to be a fair bit more you can do with this software, but it's of little interest to me/it sounds pretty risky raising redlines etc. Followed this guy's guide, using BMW flash and ECU worx software:

Being blocked by them actually seems like an ideal outcome... Thanks for the heads-up.

I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of a question to the same end. Nor would I encourage others to - singly - ask a similar question... though I wouldn't suggest they shouldn't, either.

Hi folks, just joined as driving & cars are a passion in life. On a road trip now from New Plymouth - Hokitika - Christchurch. Purchased yesterday my 2nd BMW. 2003 325ci. Milliy's a keeper! Be great if a Canterbury or South Island club can be restarted with regular meets and runs for like minded BMW drivers and their families. Thank you for letting me join. Happy driving everyone. Jon

Hey Team So finally got the car back last Saturday from auto sparky, I knew this was the issue the day after i dropped it off. I completely forgot to add the postive wire from brake switch to the ews box. I told him to do this and it fired up. But while it was there he wired up the electric water pump and a few other little things. Over the last two weeks ive pretty much got it 98% of being completed. got the front m3 brakes all on now. Spent the most of yesterday making this Air box with Juvy. ( Him making it, me watching) So will need to take the whole car to an engineers to help fab up the intake and route it to the air box. Had to put these wheels on as the 19's tyres were rubbing on the rears. And lastly fitted to this new solid mount shifter i brought from bmspeedshop local company in NZ. So car is driveable and man shes quick, 1st and 2nd are o.k but 3rd is where it hits. also finally managed to get a stationary sound clip. The ticking sound is the dry sump pump which goes away after a few mins and the noise was 10 x lounder than the video. Enjoy team

Looks great. The E39 really is a classic look and silver is one of the better colours in my opinion.
