My buddy owns this car and it should be selling for alot more than this. It is a lovely example in a striking colour. I remember when it arrived in NZ in the early days - a successful furniture designer in Auckland owned it before my friend bought it.

Hi guys, Jake here from Slovenia. As I'm quite new to NZ I was really amazed how many Bimmers are around here - and how many fans too! Love all the work you guys do here, from mods to conversions etc. When people here started to warn me not to buy European car due to expensive spares I just couldn't put my head around it as I've been seeing so many of them. Luckily I've been DIY oriented my whole life, so I didn't care too much about the rumours and just went and bought myself a 2002 e46, 325Ci. Car had many owners and will need some work before I'm completely satisfied with it, but it's a great car to drive, except the auto transmission makes me quite sad - as an European, auto is a no go, so hopefully I'll be converting it to manual in about a year or two if budget will allow. Since purchase, I did front brakes & pads, new radiator & water pump, transmission oil & filter change. Next on are rear rotors & pads, pulleys inspection & new belts, fixing 2 tiny spots of rust, front bumper bottom sanding & repaint + slider installation. Was also looking into Mishimoto Performance Intake (anyone has one? thoughts?). Will also do a scan when cable arrives to see if there's any misfires & vacuum leaks. The car has smoked taillights - would be happy to swap for original ones if someone prefers the smoked ones. It also has black emblems on both body & wheels which I'm not a fan of, so if someone has any spare ones let me know. About the auto to manual swap - I've seen posts about HELLBM doing full conversions. Would be great to know the total price for that, but then again would also love to do it myself and learn something + test my nerves Will post some photos - I don't have any good ones as I didn't actually take time to make some yet. Cheers, looking forward to browsing through some awesome projects up here.

I like how inconspicuous it is and no one would judge you for driving it.

The Macca GT3X ripping past the Flint Wall was absolutely epic, reminds me of Rod Millen's mad run in the Tacoma Pike Peak way back when. I reckon the Sauber C9 probably could have gone 3-4 secs quicker, but massive risk v reward there. Most impressive might have actually been the dirty old HRT Commodore?! Any excuse to post Kenny Brack in 19R:

Hello all, about to get my hands on my own 2015 m135i. Soooo been looking forward to this, looking at doing a stage one tune at some point too. At this stage looking to upgrade : charge pipe, intercooler, maybe coils and plugs, 3inch pipe through the cat. Any other info on what brands I should be buying etc , tips or "to do's" would be appreciated.

Was too late to take a picture but saw an E39 M5 going northbound on SH1 with the rego ‘M BHP’. If it’s someone here, that exhaust is music to the ears mate. Legitimately contemplated sitting behind you in traffic just to admire. 👌

as much as it would be an absolute unit of a platform to be converted, it is definitely too precious to do so. I think. (hope)

I quite like this colour on a big coupe. It seems the 2021 90's classic car appreciation multiplier hasn't hit this one.

Tell him that it’s such a nice example and I’ve never been more tempted to spend 30k on anything before. Except for houses, but they’re way more than 30k.

I had an 850CSi for 7years, always thought if I went back to an e31 it would be an 840/v8... I'm impressed by that example!

(Added Pics) Kia ora tatou / greetings to everyone. Just joined the cool kids club with my first BMW. Honestly was just looking for a fun drivers car hadn't even considered Euro but with the ridiculous prices any of the usual suspects i ended up getting great value I think with this 130i. Working on cleaning it up enough to get it to sharable shape and then will post some pictures. Maybe this weekend, i washed it and its already dirty the day after so I need to plan for the pics better. A big thanks to this forum for helping me realize what a great little car the 130i is. Look forward to sharing what I can but mostly soaking up all the knowledge here. Quick question while I'm posting, is it pretty much impossible to get a BMWP intake and exhaust for the e87 these days? https://www.mdecoder.com/decode/wbauf92060p010621 VIN: WBAUF92060P010621
