  1. People will need to know whether it's a M43 or N42 motor or the Chassis number (last 7 digits)
  2. Yes this is the vehicle I had in the workshop in June. The vehicle does have quite a few maintenance issues. Besides those issues it has structural rust in several places that would prevent it from getting a WOF. The vehicle was purchased by one of my customers and given to me to carry out some repairs. The vehicle has now been returned to the present owner.
  3. It appears to be after talking to someone today. I'll confirm tomorrow when I check my records at work now I have been given Rego & Chassis #
  4. Not sure... rego or chassis # would help
  5. Your tuner will find it easier to work with a Bosch DME... the E prom is easily removed
  6. You'll need a safe route if this is going to be your first time doing it. Certain routes aren't safe at different times of the year. I'm sure someone on here will share details of a safe route for you....seeing your just a newbie.
  7. Have a great day Richard From Glenn & the Team
  8. Does the owner have insurance ? if so it still should be covered because it was parked and not being driven
  9. Decide which car you want to sell to keep the other on the road legaly... it won't fix it self without throwing some money at it.
  10. Give me a call Monday morning... any time after 7.00 am....(09) 2722546
  11. It's very unlikely that both would fail. As Grant said, it's possibly something else that has triggered the fault code because the sensor is outside of it's operating range due to over or under fueling. What was the actual fault code ? word for word. Did they store or save the fault code ?
  12. I didn't check it personally... book it in and I'll check it for you next week, check the ratio and give you a definate price on repairing it... you will need to leave it with me for a couple of hours.
  13. Is this the car we checked for you today ??... if so...we told you you need another diff
  14. You might find it's the matrix that is leaking and not the "O" rings. You would need to replace the "O" rings anyway. These should be available X the dealer or you can get them from Seal House

  17. The odometer will probably be a bulb. The check control will be a pixel board fault which will require a specialist to repair properly. Ring me if your in Auckland. (09) 2722546
  18. The head of a small retaining bolt has broken off the LSD unit and got jammed between the crown wheel & pinion. Similar to a problem Greg had with his M3 Diff. I've just put a 3.64:1 diff I had here at work in it for the moment while I sort out another C & P for it. At least it keeps me mobile till I get the X Trail back. Bit of a shame really. It's only done 8,000km since it was all rebuilt 3 years ago.BTW: I can now guarantee the 3.64:1 is perfect and quiet with no leaks and it won't be for sale for $250 again. The price will be $300
  19. Broke it this morning at 5.00 am going to work. Drove it home tonight though. First time I've ever had a personal car of mine on a tow truck. Last week I broke the X Trail as well... it's still not fixed
