i think with your car being a wagon you might already have a thicker rear bar, have a measure before you go and buy anything just to be sure.

dam cool, M50's seem to love boost from what I've seen. any power/performance goals in mind?
-
^ doesn't really surprise me, alot of cars will get to around that mileage and need a bit of work. Thats why I'd have no worries buying a car with 200000km, chances are alot of its been replaced anyway. for the same reasons I'd try avoid a car around the low-mid 100's mark.
-
true, and chances are you'll need compressors to put the springs back in
-
you didn't read it here but... can you undo the top nut while the car is still on the ground, as you jack it up the pressure is slowly taken off. then just support it properly and take everything out as you would normally?
-
the fact its starting creep makes me think its a hydraulic leak. are you loosing fluid? slaves will normally leak fluid out of the system while a leak in the master cyl means the fluid can simply bypass back up into the reservoir. pressure plate could also be on its way out but i'd try and rul out the hyrdaulic system first

SAS sell replacement ball joints, but unless its just one thats stuffed I'd buy new arms as the cost difference is negligableby the time you suss someone to press the ball joints out an in again

sorry, should have said melbourne, not sure on the other states. how would they work the transponders here? every car in wellington gets one? or if you use the roads without one you get fined? what about out of towners? I can normally get a set on the hutt line during peak hour. maybe a couple standing in each car to or from petone, hardly crowded to the max? plus they've got another 70 train cars coming at a cost of $300 mill or something like that. and another 60 odd trolley buses.

I think the article said it was going to pay for more public transport, which I completely agree with. get people out of cars and into public transport or push bikes - provided a quality transport system is there. this problem is only going to get worse and building more roads isn't the answer. (well long term anyway) Thing that i thought was stupid was that hybrids might be exempt, f**king dumb idea. a small diesel as little or even less gas and doesn't have all the manufacturing impacts that a hybrid does with it batteries and other associated bits. then there's the problem of what to do with the batteries when they die.

surely running 98 would allow you advance the timing more than 95 would though? and give you an increase in economy?
-
In aus they just take a picture of your plate, probably the easiest way to do it instead of issue everycar in the country with some electronic tag thing.
-
man up and post a price, you must have some idea what you want for them
-
I don't know too much about them really but Im a porsche fan, just reckon they're cool cars. kinda cool how the stubborn bastards just kept refining the 911 instead of develop something that made more sense

what was the offset on that set though?
-
^ thats a general rule, as the rims get wider you have to get closer to the optimum offset. and as others have said some spoke designs wont clear the calipers.
-
rev limiter might be in the rotor in the dizzy, try changing that.
-
I don't think you will need any spacers. most people can fit a 16x9 ET15 in the rear easy, so a 16x9.5 ET8 will have less need for a spacer. Fronts will be very close to strut, I know 16x8 ET20 will clear so ET22 might just be right. Couldn't really ask for better offsets for those sizes for E30 really, someone on here DO IT! PS: can't be bothered reading debate about spacers so if someones already said this ignore me

IMO dark centers chris, black, or a dark grey / gun metal. wheels aren't three piece, they just have the bolts around the outside for the look.
-
cheers dude, will get in touch about one

could really do with a glove box?
-
^ very old pic - time for a new photoshoot but thats 60/40 as antony said the guards are lower so a 60/40 looks more even. its also much more practical. less of every downside to lowering - policemen, both sleeping and otherwise, less tyre wear, more travel etc
-
60mm is really low in the back, I ran than and didn't like it so went to a 40mm drop in the rear. I'd be surprised if the rears didn't need shortening at 60mm either, they'd be pretty borderline from memory. (few years back now)
-
I didn't need to shorten my shocks when I put in 60mm springs in the front and 40mm in the rear. Both were captive. Thats only speaking from the legal side of things, there are much better alternatives out there for optium handling, my setup was still much more fun than stock though that was about 4 years ago and the front shocks (stock) are starting to feel their age now, so I'm changing them out. I could actually sell you my boge (OEM) sports shocks though, held 40mm rear springs captive. Nothing wrong with them just brought a whole new set.

haha, some of us knew what you were getting at. good on the mods, hopefully we'll get alot of the old crowd back
