What a car, good luck with your sale!
-
Just an update, all are sold except the PCV. Thanks!

Agree, better than a one liner: "goes sweet, mint azzz"

Hey guys, I've got some parts left over from my E39 which I ordered via the US when the dollar was high and now that I have sold the car, obviously they're of no use to me so thought I would offer then here before listing them on TM. These are priced below what I paid for them and are better than the pricing on Trademe or importing from the US. I purchased them for my 2001 530i but they may fit other M54 powered cars also. All are brand new in packaging except for the PS reservoir, which didn't have a box, end caps still in place. - Genuine BMW PCV/Oil Separator valve - $40 - Mann Air Filter for M54 - $10 - ZF Power steering fluid reservoir - $25 - Brushed stainless gauge cluster rings - $25 Pickup is in Newmarket, or I can post.

Yes, the M119 is regarded as one of the engines Mercedes has produced.
-
The rollover bar which deployed during a crash with the softtop or roof down was pretty cool at the time.

Love 1990's Mercedes. I had a W140 at one time. Always like the R129 great looking car when paired with some AMG mono-blocks.

My personal opinion of Clarkson has been severely diminished after this. Assuming what is in the media is true, you don't treat people you work with like that; I don't care who you are. It's disgusting and I think it's a disgrace that he's playing the victim when he's been the author of his own demise. He's the reason Top Gear (in it's current form) is now no more.

I feel a punishment should fit the crime, not the person committing it.

That's why there is a difference in trade-in vs selling. The dealer needs to make a margin and or cover for the value they're providing you to get the car off you hands in an instant. Depends what your time is worth to you.
-
Sadly no, work schedule not allowing as I have to do two more countries after Germany

Massive dealership here.

I hope he has a limp to remind him of this...

I sold my 530i recently but when buying my E39 I drove both the 3L and 2.5L back to back. The 3L really is the one you want to get for that commute. It's got that little bit more power that just makes everything more effortless. E39 prices have tanked to the point where I doubt there would be much difference.

The ad says "full BMW service history" which is more than can be said for a lot of cars out there... I don't see any reason why the V10 would not be durable, probably more suspension work than anything else.

E38 2001 Singapore import top condition genuine low KM (95K)

Anyone know the reason why they never fitted the same 3L M54 which went into the E39 into the 728i? Seems weird you'd keep using the superseded engine. -
A drunk guy jumped in my car one night at an intersection... turned out I knew him, so I gave him a ride home. Only in New Zealand

What's even worse is when you trash the people who go there on this thread and you are one.... ahhhhh The meat there is good

With all that power I suggest a Quattro badge to supplement your handling. It gets a bit wet and windy in Wellington.

This thread is hilarious, at least I know that I'm not the only one who has a brain explosion every time I drive in Auckland's traffic. Add to that list: Old people in micro cars that usually "just pop to the shops" who exit the city en-mass at the weekend to crawl along the roads on the way to annoy their children and their families for a "spot of lunch". People with spotless Ford Rangers and VW utes which look like they're preparing the the Dakar Rally. I know the car park at Farrow is wet in winter and has a crappy incline at the entrance but you can still get your free range chicken for Rupert and Victoria in a normal car. People in cars which obviously have Bluetooth systems yammering away with a phone held to their ear or writing a txt essay and missing the lights. If you're a baby boomer and find all this talk of Twitter Tube, Bookface and Snap9gagchat confusing; just ask your kids - they'll hook your phone into the car for you.

I use either the Air NZ one or the official Auckland Airport one where you park yourself.

It did seem pretty sudden.... poor guy. I think we've all been there, just not with a car like that, and on YouTube.

Great car, love the colour. Cars like this (and I put the Mini, Fiat 500 in the same category) can be whatever colour you like, so long as they make people smile

I was referring to your post - a very serious one about not taking it too seriously.
