  2. Wondered about that too. The paintwork has hardly had time to cure, let alone needing a correction already. It looks a nice enough car , but there are more E30's for sale than there are buyers, same with the E36 M3 (7), E46 M3 (12), and the E92 M3 (34). Looks like a reset in the market, the post covid euphoria that gave a lift (to real estate, cars and everything else) has worn off, and reality is setting in. Welcome to the new world in 2023.
  3. Its not re registered at all. The registration is continuous, with new plates issued on 22 November.
  4. No, different seller. This has always been a Christchurch car. The other Auckland guy bought both the black S54 and the silver 16000km S50 car from HellBM. There is a strong interelationship with this blue car, and the silver Hell BM car in that both were imported damaged, and LHD. The Christchurch car came alongside a 3 litre E36/7 coupe, also damaged, this and new parts purchased in NZ saw the estoril car completed, complied and RHD, the tub and any bits left over went to Auckland, where some of those bits went into the repair and conversion of the silver car.
  5. Three interested parties and sold for the asking. Very happy buyer and seller was too. Good cars that stack up are still selling well.
  6. ARC8 from Apex will clear also. Here is a willing seller for you. Two sets available in 18 and 19 inches. BestGun will cheerfully measure up for you I'm sure. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/search?member_listing=688807&bof=PBy7PxqY
  7. Crikey you are a hard lot to please. 🙁 Buy on condition surely for something like this. From memory only four manual 6 speed in New Zealand. All fiercely protected by the owners too.
  8. One of these would be a pleasure to own surely? Sensibly priced, with the glorious N52 B3 engine. This car ticks all the boxes, Motorsport spec so seats and suspension, steering wheel black head lining. The owner has kept it well maintained, fresh PS4's all round, new discs and Bilsteins on all corners. Had a look at it underneath its just like an almost new car, FSH too, and mostly first paint. Just a lovely car in white. The Anders Warming flame surfacing with a hint of Bangle has come into its own 20 years after conception, to me the E86 is the epitome of this. However the inappropriate M badges do make me grind my gears ☚ī¸ https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/z4/listing/3820045953?bof=PuKvfbDQ
  9. Thanks, yes spoke to this guy a few months back but being a grumpy old pensioner Euro400 is a bit much so lets try and fix this RDS first. Your reminder again, messaged him, lets see what happens. I do like the message and the lights in the LCD too.............but not the lights this guy flashed at me ! (Picture credit OP6)
  10. Looking for the pixel tape / ribbon thingy and also a LCD would be good but not necessary. There are a couple of Ebay sellers but technology has advanced sooo far that robots now answer emails.
  11. The car car currently on offer has less kms, than M3 CSL its a rerun I think from when Southern Speculators (😁) had both the black and silver cars earlier in the year..

  13. If you have genuine interest in the car (or any car for that matter) ring the seller up. Rather than asking unnecessary questions and be considered a dick by other watchers. Use your life skills when talking to the vendor, and you get a better idea of both the car and the seller, and you should be able to make an informed decision quite quickly. I must admit to being addicted to reading the Q&A sections on Trade Me auto's, its more fun than watching TV.
  14. Long-Term Parking (1982) by Armand Pierre Fernandez. In a south west Parisian suburb. From memory this was a commission by Renault. 20 metres high x 6 x 6 , quite a bit of ready mix concrete involved 😁 But is enough to stop the rust?
  15. Unashamedly a lover of the S54 drive train, where does one place an order? Asking for a friend 😉 https://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-germancars/sve-oletha-gets-s54-straight-six-power/46269?utm_campaign=enews%20bulletin&utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Newsletter Send Smart List A
  16. The aversion for us for Singapore imports stems from looking at two cars recently for sale in Christchurch, both E92 comp spec coupes, the overall condition, interior and underbonnet in particular just didn't match the indicated mileage. The absence of service books, as well as the sellers indifference as to verification or confirmation from his agent led to us walking away. There has been quite a bit of media attention in Auckland too, several cars Jaguar as we recall from Singapore again where the odometers were discovered to have had severe haircuts, both in the order of 90 to 100000kms trimmed off. From memory the court ordered the return of the cars. Mercedes from the 90's were particularly prone to computer hardware issues, a colleague had a MB C36 AMG, the bits were around $4k plus labour. Notwithstanding the OP's consideration of the 20i XDrive, it may well be a very good car, as long as the price is right. Personally we would invest in a PPI. And not from AA, either a BMW maindealer or a reputable independent workshop.
  17. Gavin White, based in Kent. Turnaround about 50 days, probably longer now. We paid around GBP250 plus import costs GST etc for a set of wheels collected from London. https://www.kg-logistics.co.uk/
  18. Mainfreight for road transport, depot to depot. Or Toll with the rail system. You have to take to depot and put on a small pallet, then shrink wrap. Cheap as chips, well, it's all relative. The other option if the gearbox is less than 25kg use the TradeMe Book a Courier function. Easy to measure up and take quote off that. The Pack n Send quote above is a joke, they just don't want to do it 'cos its too hard 🙁
  19. Asking for a friend 😁 do we know this car at all, is the owner a poster on here? https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/130i/listing/3754106482
  20. Good to see Julia Louis-Dreyfus again. Aging well too (Unlike the Eveready batteries)
  21. Ahh yes, spoilt for choice. 253 for sale on TradeMe today, highly sought after for sure 😕
  22. Its well over market expectations for a comp spec car. Best it stays with the owner.
  23. Seems quite simple to me, call the phone number. If you feel it is something "unpleasant" use your judgement and walk away. Unless we've missed something? As an aside we recently sold a high value item off TradeMe. The buyers account was registered in 2017, and this was the first trade. Your guy may be bonafide, and simply as suggested not kept the contact details up to date. Amazingly a larger percentage of the population than we think have very limited technical skills. Even in 2022 .😀
  24. Sound like you, and aj540i may need to work on things like interpersonal skills and try to build relationships with the core people within the businesses we are discussing, you may find your objectives suddenly become far easier to achieve. 😕 Really aj540i, with a comment like this, "Like any local business they have to earn my support and they won't do it just by investing money in their business." get off your high horse. And btw I'm not decrying the independents, but they would not be here without the main dealer network. 99% of the owners and staff acquired the skillset from the dealer network remember.
