  1. I'm not sure why one would use such a heavy lump as an S54, when there are much lighter alloy blocks in the BMW portfolio with the S prefix? S55 anyone 🤨
  2. That's the sort of job that no one wants to do, unless the pay is good for doing it. Hence $1200. Not sure if packing is required, as they are quite robust being bumpers. I'd measure them up, and use the BAC function on Trade Me, and ask Ray just to label them with your address. Aramex collect from Ray, and delivers to Ingill. Simple really. You could be in for a pleasant surprise

  4. Integrale EVO1 for me................❤️
  5. Judging from recent New Zealand sales (none) these mid-engined Clios are about as saleproof as a souvenir from the Rainbow Warrior. There have been several pop up at around the 70k mark, and they are all still in the trade, after some time on market. A very pretty low mileage car series one changed hands recently for 50 ish, which is where our market seems to be at the moment.
  6. Because....... BMW are now aligned with Shell. Not because of the quality of the Castrol products.
  7. Jeepers this is a bit of a thread resurrection. The late John Surtees had one from new, with hard top. Sold in 2018 after his death for 4 million GBP. The Presley car from memory was white, originally supplied new to Hans Stuck, bought Presley while he was stationed in Germany. Restored by BMW Classic Division in Munich and on the auction block again.

  9. Self admission here: We have bid on several cars, prewar Austin 7 specials, and a coupe of interesting Austin Healey Sprites with excellent competition provenance, but yet to be at the finish as the hammers falls😁
  10. It may well be hype, in your opinion. With a sell through rate of 87% in July 2021, its hype that is working with happy buyers and sellers, not only in the US but in Europe now. Fiqures that our beloved TradeMe would struggle to achieve I think😉 Check out the success of Collecting Cars, in Australia, soon to be in NZ and into Asia as well. Hats off to the owners of both sites for a good job well done.
  11. We should all know that there is quite often a big difference between "asking" price, and the "realised" price. 26 E46 M3's for sale on that site, there should be more on their mind's than "what is the M3 gonna fetch this week"?😕 Some quite good spec cars with good options too. Easy as to import from Aus. And almost parity on the exchange rate, win win.

Happy to buy these if you ship. You have a PM.
  13. Mag and Turbo on Fitzgerald Avenue. Professional and courteous crew. And there before 9am.
  14. Your very lucky that your list is so small. Perhaps a copy of the cars build sheet would help you here. We are complying an 1961 Austin Healey 3000 at the moment that was sold new, went up to Japan in 2001,and has just returned, and needs to be revinned for compliance. Our compliance inspector requires a hardness test on the shaft in the steering box, among a list a lot longer than yours https://bimmer.work/

Doubt if there would be anybody cheaper than this off the shelf item.
  16. Bring up my post BUMP thanks for the replies really want the Type 1 and 17 inchers
  17. Yip use Kiwishipping outta Odense Denmark. We use Schmiedmann, and bulk buy. Do a group buy perhaps? The conventional cost efficent courier service we all enjoyed is a goneburger now. And by ship is not easy either.😣
  18. As per title looking for a set of these in 17x8 ET35 to suit E36 / E46. Must run true, quite happy to refresh if need be. Good money available, call or PM. Thanks for reading, Bill 029 777 4006
  19. English is not the writers first language perhaps chaps😕
  20. Apex wheels, and most quality cast, flow formed and forged wheels are made in China. Apex make a premium product, flow formed or forged in a wide range of sizes to fit all BMW models, its been well tried and tested. Probably best bang for buck wheel available easily in New Zealand. There are some good wheel manufacturers turning out good wheels in Italy, Ronal is a brand that springs to mind.
  21. That is most strange. Or is it coincidence that the car is being marketed by barryn63, also selling Autoglym products on TradeMe?
  22. Hmm, Elsa57. Wonder if that's the age or the chest size of the private messenger? 😉
