  1. And yet... they're often better maintained that privately owned cars... I know LOTS of people whose cars I wouldn't buy - company owned sounds WAY better.

    uh oh...

It's probably upset about not being in M mode. Can you put some tape on the lights? Should only cover 1/3 of the windscreen.
  3. But it's got dealer stamps...... it MUST have had everything done, that was ever required.... BAHAHAHAHA!
  4. Do you want to borrow a Dialysis machine??? It's got no Kidneys! For those who haven't driven a manual 540i... it REALLY goes well Without trying!

    E30 respect!

I was going to check with you first I'm two driveways up from Darron. Dad would quite like it to stay local

    E30 respect!

Cheers, not technically for sale yet You can't rush these things! I might decide to sell my Beetle and keep this, or something
  7. Some people say it's dodgy to do it that way, but it's what the aftermarket tools do. If you want to be a bit careful, try a bulb inline in case you short something.

    E30 respect!

Poor old girl is going to be sold . Dad's had it 17 or 18 years, but they've decided it's time to upgrade, and finally buy an auto (because they're OLD!) It's an E30 '90 325i SE, 5 speed. It was built April 1990, and first registered to BMW NZ in April 1991, so I wonder if it was parked at HQ for a while??? A pharmacist (an actual one) had it, then traded it in on a new one, and Dad brought it. It's one of the grandkids really... the oldsest one - It's been in the family longer than the grandies have! Easily the best car he's ever owned (even the better than the Toyota he had, that was newer), and has only ever broken down once... in the mechanics workshop! when the fuel pump failed when it was in for a WOF. I reckon Dad wil cry when it goes - seriously! I also think I'll always regret not buying it from him, but too many kids, not enough money, and my barn is way too small! Dad wanted an E30 for years, but always required a tow car for work (had both a Falcon, and a Commodore for YEARS). Once the business was gone, he decided to finally get one. Initially he figured just a 320i Auto would be OK, but he's very glad he went for this one now. The SE spec is awesome. I'll post some pics here for posterity. I need a better camera! Our crappy point and click distorts stuff like crazy! We both always just assumed it would be my inheritance However, there's the '29 Ford Model A for that, I guess , but I think it's actually Mums
  9. Get a bit of wire. Seriously. Uncle Google knows the pin numbers.

    Sold

Does it have a Ski Hatch in the rear seat by any chance??? I REALLY want a plastic cover from the boot side ;-)
  11. If it's like the late E39's, it has to have consumed a minimum amount of fuel. It's not all that much though, I don't think. Have you got BMW Scanner 1.4? You can change it manually to whatever amount of liitres left to go, and also change the litres of fuel between oil changes :-) so it doesn't wait so long

    New Scanner

Ooooh NIce! Steering wheel mount: Does that mean you can read the Herald on it, on the way to work?
  13. 2 crap photos, no info, and 66.7% positive feedback... Good luck!

    Quick rant thread.

I once spent about 4 hours getting from Glenfeild to Meremere..... There weren't many cars leaving the "carpark" in Glenfield, but there were a LOT trying to get INTO Meremere We actually parked on SH1 for a while, just north of Huntly - I seem to recall people having lunch on the roadside.
  15. It's prolly gaone, or poked anyway...
  16. Did anyone check ther Ski Flap cover for me :-) ???
  17. Clean out the sample inlet vents in the AC control too, and don't put hot/cold drinks near them (tricks the AC - sh*t design!)

OH YEAH! I totally want one of thoe 6.9's - they're so ridiculous that they're awesome!
  19. Nah it was a guy on a UK forum who brought 5 sets from Germany as a one off thing.
  20. Did the cambelt on Dads E30... 30K since the last one... nearly 5 years ago....
  21. You're mental. I like it. I have 4 cans of bog you can have Fill in the moulding channels on the doors etc - make it "custom". You can even make a mean bodykit with enough bog and polystyrene Nah - I reckon it's one of those cars you have to make an effort to not overcapitalise on, so some stuff ends up "custom", because it cheap Great first cat for miss M
  22. Hella do them, for about $1800 a pair. Ebay.de have RHD xenon retrofit kits at times. I got one from the UK for about $900 all up - 2 brand new Xenon headlights, ballasts etc, and a self levelling retrofit set, all in one nice big box.
