Great work as always, Ray. Love it.

Listing on behalf so please contact via TradeMe only. I drove the car to take the pics and it seems sound mechanically (my mechanic has been servicing for the past 3-4 years). Bit rough around the edges cosmetically but bodywork is sound and it's a great colour! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=939584304

Josh went and had a baby, fortunately another mate stepped in and the GM now has new capacitors and should be good for a few years. Still can't scan. Will have to start pulling modules until I find the culprit.

Installed a set of (alleged) Schnitzer chips for a friend's 1991 diamond schwarz 850i. Of course, we had to test them and find a nice backdrop for some early evening photos...

Installed some schnitzer chips in a mate's 850i. Tested it and parked up for some pics in the early evening sun next to mine.

Pretty sure anthracite is a dark grey. Schwarz is black in German and generally how black interior components are labelled by BMW.

Changed the oil and filter. Replaced the oil level sensor o ring. Got annoyed with the twit who covered it in sealant rather than replacing a $1 o ring. Gave her a bath.

Bought some capacitors and pulled the GM. Opened it up and thought about having a go myself... Decided my shite soldering iron and sausage fingers are not up to the task! Luckily Josh (hybrid) has the gear and skillz (and generosity) to do it right!!

People who received a rates decrease.

No problems fortunately thanks to the angled entry... As long as I go slow!

After some fiddly soldering with some tiny resistors, I've got bright white LED side lights with no errors. 21st century 8er!!

Market driven in the US. Parts in the UK and Germany are more expensive than the US, though still cheaper than here, but shipping is generally cheaper. I've found it best to ship parts locally in the US to someone I know who then sends on, making sure packages are under $400 inc shipping where possible. Edit: BTW I bought new sport shocks for the e31 from Germany for around $1k shipped when the exchange rate peaked. A full set in NZ was $6k!!

So does Tom Cruise unfortunately.

Maybe in terms of availability but prices are high in Germany, especially parts. I just got lucky!

Think it was a private seller.

Still can't believe I picked up this brand new Nissens radiator for 19.90euros + shipping (which was twice that) on eBay.de. Half expected an empty box to arrive. Total cost NZ$128 compared to dealer price locally of $850!! Much win!!

Looks seriously good, Ray!

Never got the heated seats thing... Just feels like you've p*ssed yourself on a cold morning. Feel free to move this to the rant thread.

Doing a rubbish job with your witty ad and competitive pricing then.
