Passing a WOF isn't the issue. Plenty of places will pass them, the issue will arise if you have to make an insurance claim. The tinted lens will void your insurance. Angel eyes won't.

Don't think fitting angel eyes is illegal as they are not considered a 'cosmetic' rather than functional light but fitting tinted lenses will be, although it is okay to buy a complete light assembly that came with tinted lenses from the factory.

Both E30s look amazing but I'd still rather a mint E39 M5. Will be a classic in a few more years, a converted E30 won't, though it would put a massive smile on your dial!

Thanks Lionel. Wokke makes upgraded replacements for less than the OE ones so I've ordered a pair of those but will try and find a suitable bushing and bearing so I've got a spare set once the old ones are out.
