Are these guys still sponsors? http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/40377-intake-filters-and-kits/ Ordered some new AFE dry filters for the 8er from them 3 months ago at the beginning of July. Still nothing. Emailed for weeks and didn't hear anything until I tried contacting via Facebook. Was told in a message (by Mike?) about 6 weeks ago that they were involved in some sort of fraud case as a witness which was why some of their shipments hadn't gone and that I would receive an email within a week advising a new shipment date. Still nothing. Sucks b@lls. Those AFE filters aren't cheap. Just want my money back now but no response from them.

Not even sure what that means, Michael?!
-
Righto. 'Fraid I don't have the access rights to do anything about that but I'll let Josh/James know.
-
Screen grab, please. Is an option on mine.

It's been at the Sunday coffee meet in the past, Michael. I think the owner's name is Josh.

My E31 scrapes on fallen leaves. Reversing into parks is a must. -
Click the arrow beside your username in the top right corner. Select 'My Settings' from the drop down. Then select 'Display Name' in the vertical menu on the LHS. You can change to anything as long as you have your password handy. Username>My Settings>Display Name

You find yourself having to visit places like SCA a lot owning an 850i!!
-
Saw Andrew (aja540i) in his E61 M5 on Wairau Road. What a car to visit Bunnings in

Better pics, better description and (depending on pics and description) better price please!

I need a new daily!

Started dealing to the faded trim. Tried some Dulon sponge on trim paint for the roof trim but it was terrible. The original paint had bubbled on the side I butchered with the Dulon so took the opportunity to sand back to bare metal. Then etch primered and painted a gloss black enamel. Although I removed to sand it turned out to be far easier to mask off the rubber edges when in place. Also tackled the rubber-coated body trim with some SEM trim paint. Painted in place as these are hard to remove without bending and/or breaking and not easy to replace. What a difference! Will do window trim next weekend. Before After

Went for a drive in Martin's second M5 and it seems excellent. Won't tell you what he paid but suffice to say it would make you green with envy. It's in great nick and no doubt will be even better when he's finished with it! Much jealousy!!

Me too. If I had the cash I'd buy it in a heartbeat and swap the best bits from mine... Then use the leftovers to build something outrageous:
-
James' had 2 pedals. This one's got none!!
-
Why didn't any of you buy James' for $7.5k??? Low kms are pretty meaningless on an almost 25 year old car. The m70's pretty bulletproof and the stuff that adds up on the 8er are all the electrical and plastic/rubber bits (bushings, plugs, just about everything) that are unique to the 8 or worse, NLA. And those will have begun to perish regardless of kms. Love 8s but there's no such thing as a cheap one!

This has been for sale before. It has been adapted for disabled drivers (notice the big control next to the steering wheel). If I had $12K I'd buy it!
-
Sounds like stuck solenoid. If Glenn normally does your repairs he will be able to suss it out. Don't drive it until sorted if possible!
-
X4. I spewed.
-
That can buy enough fuel to... reverse out of the drive!
-
Ha! No. The boys are hassling me to get an e30 so I'm thinking of replacing my daily driver. An M62 swap sometime in the future might be fun though!!
-
Keen. PM'd.

Scraped the new front lip. Just took our steep drive a fraction too fast. Not really noticeable as it's the underside but still bloody annoying. Note to self, all bumps, ramps, inclines to be navigated at snail pace.
