  1. GLWS Is the next M car going to have sufficient ground clearance?
  2. Might be keen on some rolls of the 9002 to refurb my Alcantara parcel shelf.
  3. As obtuse as this advice is, a used m62tu would more than likely be less than the repair bill for the job in car.
  4. Although the numbers probably didn't stack up to officialy sell the e46 M3 touring, you can't deny that it's a seriously handsome car. Well done Hellbm.
  5. Be sitting down for when who ever quotes you labour and parts for this job.
  6. Used to be owned by Ross @ bmworkshop. Might still be..
  7. Polished up the wood trims and installed a new Z4m illuminated shifter knob. The extra weight in the shifter knob gives it a bit more of a solid feel, but not as bolt action rifle like as the old ebay short shift kit installed by the po. Clutch is now pretty much broken in. No more squeaky clutch pedal which is also a bonus. I have a full set of spare trims that I'm thinking about painting gloss black with a polished finish...
  8. Yeah. They emailed me months ago advising shipping price would increase. To which i replied how much.. I never received a reply, so i emailed again. They finally replied saying they hadn't placed the order because they didn't see the reply. They then advised the inflated shipping price. To which i replied with an electronic 'middle finger'.
  9. So after being mucked around with Schmiedmann (974USD vs original 102USD) price for shipping of the Eisenmann back boxes, I've found another dealer in the UK that I've now placed an order with. The 2 month wait begins all over again....
  10. schmeidmann's extra 874USD shipping cost for a pair of eisenmann back boxes.. F*ck that!
  11. What did i do for my (old) bmw today? Rear discs and pads along with an oil change.
  12. Nah,got a mate to do this work. Have emailed schmiedmann...apparently 30 working day wait but it's been 2 months nearly!
  13. Drive train refresh completed! Had a wee issue with the 02 sensors being plugged in to each other after the job was done. This caused the DME to think the fuel tank is low on fuel which resulted in limp mode. Weird. Now to not thrash it while the clutch breaks in..
  14. Don't have anything nice to say about my kiwishipping experience except for the fact that my clutch and flywheel arrived undamaged, but then again it would be difficult to damage a 20+ kg flywheel.
  15. Just greatful you didn't find the bag of coke.
  16. At last the collection of underneath bits is complete. The clutch & flywheel took nearly 4 months to arrive ex USA via kiwishipping. The nzd was a lot stronger back then so buying this lot now wouldn't be as fun. Major surgery carried out next week including : - clutch - flywheel - rear main seal - driveshaft guibo and centre bearing - engine & trans mounts - new exhaust fasterners and mountings - gear shifter rebuild with all new bushings and fittings.
  17. I remember getting my e39 528i ppi'd @ glenns. Impressed to see the right rear speaker listed as not working. That's pretty thorough!
  18. Dave (dc3) imported his stunner ex uk. Could always look in to that.
  19. The idea of a ramp allows the jack to get underneath the car
  20. Make some ramps out of 2x4 and ply. Done
