Watch out for rust around the jacking points on uk examples. Evolve automotive have a lot of experience with the e39 m5. They're in Luton, Bedfordshire.

Got my cluster back with all pixels working properly : MK4 Nav unit software updated to latest V32 version : The 16:9 widescreen monitor had an intermittent problem with buttons not working. Now sorted as of this morning. Pulled it apart and found the optical rotary encoder module was loose. Removed it, re-seated the contact plate and re-installed : Got a 2013 version map. Fully working GPS! Yay.

The 'cooling mod' is suited to the US spec cars which don't have the Euro 2 piece type floating rotors which have better cooling ability. US spec rotors : Euro spec rotors : I think on the Ring, stock brakes in good nick will be ok for a couple of enthusiastic laps. BBK would be mandatory if you're planning on visiting Hockenheim or any tracks over here in NZ.

I received a new LCD panel and ribbon when I bought the M5. Am a keen diy'er but a bit too risky given the rare availablity of the M5 cluster.

It packs it with about 1/2 km of bubble wrap in to a box, and then it sends it to Chch to have a new LCD and ribbon cable installed.

So long as the shocks, bushings and ball joints are in good nick. Looks like it has an individual interior. Quite nice compared to the usual black with silver or wood trims.

Looks like pretty easy fix for someone with the required parts.

When the DME decides that 91 is being run then it will 'de-tune'

Much preferred the Black Esprit v8 bi turbo that was in front :
-
SA models were able to run on 91 RON. All other markets required 95 - 98RON.
