Am I posting from your account while asleep?

I had EBC Yellow in my E34 race car when I purchased it. The compound on one pad on the front detached from the backing plate and was nearly the end of me on the back straight of Puke track. I also had the Red stuff pads in one of my 180sx's. I swear they were no better than the stock Nissan pads I removed. I went to Endless pads in this car. They chewed through rotors but for a road car it had amazing brakes. Hawk pads are my go to now days.

If a major state highway has its speed limit reduced from 100kph to 70kph for around 50kms. Is that stretch of road still really a state highway or is it now just a local road? Going by NZTA: State highways are those roads in New Zealand that form a nationally strategic purpose in moving people and goods nationwide. Local roads are those roads that form a regionally strategic purpose in moving people and goods within regions. These roads are managed by local government. I would argue that 70kph speed limits mean that strategically moving people and goods nationwide is no longer the priority as efficiency for moving those has been significantly reduced. The reduction in speed is due to road surface neglect and poor road layout planning. Also refusal to bypass Carterton and Greytown.

First bit of mechanical work to complete on the car this weekend. Water pump, pulleys, drive belt and supercharger belt. Looks quite simple. Will give the car a clean under the bonnet too. Need to find the correct coolant colour in Masterton somewhere. Hard work when the only other cars here are Falcons and Commodores or Rangers.

New here. Thinking about picking up an E60 M5.

The reason I was not allowed to buy your one. -
Unless EBC has changed their compound in the last 5 years I wouldn't bother. Endless if you're feeling rich. Or Hawk Pads. I ran both for years in my E30 series car. Rotors made zero difference as long as they were not no brand Chinese ones. Also run Motol 600 brake fluid or similar . If you don't that is the next thing to go. Stock will boil with upgraded pad compound as you can run longer. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-hawk-parts/rear-hp-plus-compound-performance-brake-pad-set/hb227n.630/ I buy lots from ECS. Also check FCP though as brake pads are included in their lifetime warranty... Yup they will give you new ones for free when they wear out. But may not have performance pads.

They are usually the lowest. However have a look at who they offer around you for fitting. They also have a mobile guy in a van.

After checking the fuel system (lines are quite hard), and the usual fluids check. Racecar fired first turn of the key and sat their idling like I run it every day. Hasn't run since Dec 2015. M30's will still roam the Earth long after humans have died off.

Yeah it will only be a maintainer or slow charger. It's just for the 3 cars that don't get a ton of use and one scooter. Will carry the CTEK around with me. Good for the track etc.

These are great. I am still using my first gen one. Even after I drove off with it still attached. Easy fix. But I am about to buy a multi bank smart maintainer. Something like this. Anyone using something similar? https://www.amazon.com/NOCO-GENIUS2X4-Fully-Automatic-Temperature-Compensation/dp/B08FYS6CL8/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=battery+maintainer+multiple+batteries&qid=1661465362&sr=8-3 I have 3 x 12v and 1 x 6v to maintain.

My LG TV's have been great. But WebOS is terrible. And as previously discussed with other products, I paid a far less for a much higher spec model of TV in the US. Freeview doesn't work though. Not that I care as I am not interested in ads or the News. I have "Jail Broken" the TV's to allow me to install all available apps from around the world. But they are still actively trying to cut this off so every month or so I have to go through the whole process again. One of them is destined for the Shed very soon. I want Sony for Android.

I found this when trying to stream 4K movies via my plex server. All of a sudden the host is ramping up to 100% trying to transcode the 45gb file down to something the TV can handle. I did not know you can plug in an adapter like this though. I have LG TV's from the US. But I am looking at going back to Sony TV's. I think I have one of those adapters in a box somewhere.

About to trade in my 1994 540i E34 - what is a reasonable value?
Driftit replied to larry26's topic in General Discussion
I hate facebook. But there is an E34 New Zealand group on there. Lots of E34's change hands amongst the members. I sold my 525td in less than 30mins. Good bunch of enthusiasts in that group. Otherwise list the vehicle here. I am sure someone will pick it up. -
Sometimes the decoders get that wrong for some reason so they could have always been RHD.
-
I really do wish we had Salvage Titles. Though this would have hurt me badly when I was importing damaged vehicles to repair and sell between 1999 and 2003. I stopped in 2003 when the new frontal impact laws came into place. Little did I know I could have just shrugged my shoulders in answer to any damage concerns..... That Estoril Shoe does come up as LHD via the Vin decoders. Yet no mention of that in the auction description. Shrugs shoulders.

Yeah it is a joke. But the ones driving like this very rarely even have one. Thursday night is always a frightening drive home for me. All the drunk Ute driving tradies leaving the Tavern after blowing all their money on horse racing and slot machines.

No interest in the 135i F20? They are very cheap now. And have much more to give than any of the others listed. Won't save you any gas money though.

What you should do is part it out and Auction all the parts to members of this particular forum thread only.

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?
Driftit replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in TradeMe discussions
Yup its very simple. It is illegal. Sinister purposes or just trying to save a car. You are not allowed to swap a Vin number. That vehicle should be registered as a 318i. -
Zero interest in E30's due to their perceived value these days. But this is pretty interesting. Almost make me feel bad that I crushed a 325i Sport only a few years ago due to rust as bad as this one.

https://www.nzta.govt.nz/vehicles/vehicle-registration/vin/ A person must not remove, erase, alter, deface, obscure, destroy or obliterate a VIN or chassis number. A vehicle inspector must not issue a WoF or CoF to a vehicle with a removed, erased, altered, defaced, obscured, destroyed or obliterated VIN or chassis number. However, if a vehicle can be appropriately identified Waka Kotahi will authorise the affixing or re-affixing of a new VIN. These vehicles should be referred to a VIN issuing Agent (AA, Drivesure, Nelson Vehicle Testing Centre Ltd, VINZ, and VTNZ). They will inspect the vehicle and seek approval from Waka Kotahi to issue or re-issue a VIN plate. -
Hey Chris, Send him a PM.

Oh yeah people are taking the piss here at the moment. So much so I don't even bother looking. Unless you are getting mates rates or some sort of deal don't bother.

Japan can be an issue and expensive unless it is a car/boat etc. As Julian said you are best to try all the freight forwarders.
