Yup. If it wasn't for family I would be back in the US. So much more fun.

Guys lucky. 20 years ago he would be in a hospital bed and his car destroyed.

Tomorrow. It's only Thursday there at the moment.

Black Friday sales in NZ. Waste of time. Most of the stuff I have found on sale from Repco/Supercheap is not actually as cheap as it has been in other random sales. If you are going to embrace a big sales day from another country at least put some effort into it. All they have seem to have done is change the title of their normal every week sales.

Always a chance the car has had a Vin swap. Do a thorough check around the Vin stamps.

I'm just chucking each fill into a logging app. Mainly to track how much money I am burning on cars. All of it...

The open road driving in it is really good. My last 3 fills. 68.61L @522km's (Mostly Town Driving) = 13.14/100km 67.24L @607km's (Mostly Open Road Commute) = 11.08/100km 70.83L @616km's (Mostly Open Road Commute) = 11.50/100km NZ new, well looked after, new tyres, 98 or above. Tried NPD 100 and it made zero difference. I have however seen 28L/100kms as my average use. When towing the old E30 series car to Taupo. The laser jammer did save me from a ticket that trip. But I mainly use my 130i as my commuter. Is perfect for the job bar not having any cruise control. High 8's is the goal without having to feather it around. Ton of road works at the moment is seeing that number climb quite quickly.

My average is 8.8l/100kms at the moment. 90% open road. Give it a bit of sh*t daily but mostly open road cruising. I get around 11l/100kms int the E55. Which is always way nicer on the open road. I really need to retrofit Cruise control to my 130. I should start hunting for the gear.

Yeah same one. Pig with lipstick.

Yeah should have read the Auction $35-$45K. Oh well lets mass report their false advertisements.

Even being LHD this is far better value than a what people are paying for E30's. A little modified but is still an actual M car. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/m5/listing/3841346444

At the end of a race the 320's had to weigh over 1175kgs and the 318s 1075kgs. I ran a 320. Weighed about 100kgs. And had around 30kgs of lead placed around the car for balancing. Sometimes more. Car was a full body 4 door PFL. No light weight parts as they are not allowed. Stripped interior. No sound deadening. That is really it. Jons car has/will have a S14B20. Or did you go bigger? Wifes 200SX is 1200kgs and 270rwkw @ 500nmish My E55 is 1800kgs and 320rwkw @ 700nm

Pffft. That's what supercharged V8 Mercedes are for. If its not using 30l/100 towing the racecar whilst destroying a holden going onto the motorway what's the point?
-
It's even worse when they are still using copper lines or some old switch. 8 bit sound would be better.

With diesel being more expensive than petrol is it really worth it? It was borderline a few years back.

He had had an accident earlier. I noticed the bonnet was crumpled, not just folded back. But as we were expecting him to pull over I didn't think much of it. Police had been looking for someone driving around on a local reserve earlier. After the accident a group carried him away from the power lines. We noticed he was in his PJ bottoms and bare feet. Definitely a medical event. Possibly alzheimers.

I was going to summon my inner Fava and Pitt maneuver him but I've only been on the receiving end of that and it didn't end well.
-
Didn't end so well for the guy I tried to stop on the weekend. Can just see my Merc in the first photo just past the police car. Ute guy was a very lucky hero. Nearly rolled it with his family in it. But if he hadn't tried it was going to be a head on. Trying to stop a car at 90kph.. Well I couldn't figure out a safe way in the few mins I had. https://times-age.co.nz/he-was-heading-into-oncoming-traffic/

FCP Euro Changing their Lifetime Replacement Guarantee
Driftit replied to Hazzy's topic in General Discussion
Used it plenty of times. Last time for gaskets. Which they replaced without sending the old ones back. And good while it lasted? It's still better than anything else. They are just clarifying the details and covering themselves for price increases. If the price goes down you win. -
Turners doesn't actually exist. They merged with ECS. ECS are amazing in the US. Overnight parts etc. But international shipping is on its way up again. But FCP have a lifetime warranty on those arms. Even when they are installed incorrectly by most people. So take that into consideration as that is quite a value there.

Oh god. That looks like a cheap Wide Body kit that was made from a copy of the original mold.
-
Knowing yours and the spec I would also take it over this one. NZ new BMWs just make me wonder what common options are missing.
-
Allowing the talentless to look talented. I guess this trend will keep driving the real drivers to look for the original drivers cars.

I think my E87 has done this. I have an obvious ring even after I polished the outsides.
