I feel ya.

Another you could try is Kerry from Mosens in Hamilton. He ran an E46 with M60's in the BMW Race series for a number of years. It was a GTR replica as such.
-
A good E34 while you can. Or an E87 for some fun.
-
One sold two weeks ago for $6k. Needed work but prob no more than your average E30 junk selling for $12K. The one that was listed for over $30K was immaculate. Every component was new or refurbished. Most other people I have spoken to got their 535is for less than 10K. However they are rare. Didn't exist outside of the UK, AUS, NZ and SA. IMO they are the best balanced E34 other than the M5. I still hate the steering box though. Yuck.

Yup I have the LK03's on my 130i now. They have been great on the crappy Wairarapa roads. Especially over the hill to Welly. Rain or shine. Very happy with them.
-
I agree. However if you are ordering from FCP just grab the coolant at the same time. Unless they are now charging a lot more for it now. It was $5 extra last time I got it. Saves having to go to supercheap.
-
@BM WORLD might be able to help. Otherwise there are plenty in the US. However people are after them now due to the whole adapter thing. Fit in pretty much any car.
-
Having owned a couple of M325i's I would take the E28 over one any day. Superior vehicle. Nearly as good as the E34.
-
Prob best to speak to HellBM. They did this conversion 6 or 7 years ago. To an E46 M3 Vert. But with the S62. Can't remember if they modified the subframe or used one from another car.

Really shitty plastic connectors where the hoses connect to the head. One of mine snapped off totally after some work at BMW - Perfect place to rest your hand, shitty crumbly plastic. 2nd hose connector had split and was just about to pop off when we caught it. This one. Replaces the sh*t plastic connector that WILL fail at some stage. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-coolant-hose-with-flange-rein-11537545890 And this one. Which fails where the hose connects to the "quick" connector. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-radiator-hose-upper-17127531579

Even in 2015 we were discussing that that car is probably the longest listed car on there. It was listed 12 years ago!

The questions already. Makes my blood boil. A hijacker trying to sell a pretty bad pplate. Someone asking a very f**king obvious question. And a know it all asking him to check the car for damage with zero intention to buy.
-
If you ever do race it. Go dry sump. Or have a number of spare motors.
-
11 year thread dig huh.
-
Not heard from him at all. Unfortunately unless it is a set in stone offer with a time and date I can no longer wait around. I'll only be angry if some scum dealer has snaked it to make a buck.
-
Not seen it yet so hopefully just a message to slow the wave of people.

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?
Driftit replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in TradeMe discussions
That's good. Buyers are protected to an extent then. -
I sent one pretty much the moment he listed it. He said he has had dozens of offers. Works tough hours. Hoping to see it tomorrow.

So a standard dealers approach. But not being a dealer he can avoid any laws that protect the buyer. In some ways worse than any dealer. Usually keep the numbers low enough to avoid pating tax too. Or registers the vehicles under the wife's name. -
Made contact. Going to view asap. Has non normal working hours.

States it has a MAPECU. Which is a NZ crowd that does piggyback systems. Very popular with 2jz people in the US. My 535is race car has one. Tuned. So if someone does end up buying this that is not me I can supply a tune that will at least allow it to run okay. I would be looking to restore it a little. Obviously have a ton of parts for it. Rust is my biggest concern. It sat on that Wellington street for a very very long time.

I hate buying cars in NZ. My attempt today has gone totally ignored. I'm short on time and the guy is not answering any of the means of contact he posted.
-
Been messaging and phoning since 7am. No response. Been looking for a sister car for my race car for some time. Have actually left notes on this car in Wellington to buy it in the past.

Trying to save yet another windscreen. I love NZs roads. They are top quality.
