You can then advertise it as having reliable power and no oil leaks
-
Just wrap it. That way when it is time to sell you can return it to standard. One thing that devalues a classic is a repaint that isn't factory color.
-
Buy James'. Get a replica kit (replica car so who cares). Wheels of your choice. Have $15 left over to maintain/tidy/paint.
-
http://www.trademe.co.nz/851350099 It will take me a bit to convince her away from replacing this with an E46 however.
-
Even got the Mrs liking it. I need to sell at least two first. You don't want a nice E60 530D do you? Perfect for long drives.
-
Dan Slater at Slater Fabrication had a few big boxes he was going to use. Might sell. Otherwise ebay mate. Can get them landed for just over $1k
-
So he is fishing for an idiot? Good luck to him. Have seen it happen a number of times. Idiots are everywhere.
-
Hmm I want it. But I am trying to get rid of cars not buy more. Would go well towing around my 535is.

Agree. They will quickly find it costs way too much to chase the money. Customs will not want to do this for free. Delays and fees will cause much grief. Everyone goes on about supporting NZ Companies. Just because a retail store is in NZ doesn't make it a NZ company. The Mrs and I purchase nearly all our wearable items and electronic goods from overseas. We save hundreds per year. To buy the same items in NZ you would be buying them from an Australian Owned retail store. Economies of scale dictate our prices. NZ can never compete with online sales from Europe and the US.

$27K. Nope. Looks okay for an 8 though. Not so barge like.

We rand to evaluate and adjust the contract. Didn't want a bar of it.

Sure its not just in the dishwasher or something? I think some leaves fell off a tree at our house. I can't confirm if this was caused by Pam or they just fell off on their own.

Sounds like they were insured by State. Haha. Said it before on this forum a while back. But we once called them to inform them I had put a better head unit in my car. The said I had breached the contract and my insurance was terminated. All I wanted was to re-evaluate my policy. Was happy to pay more. 45mins later they had lost 3 more cars as my family ditched them.

Agree. There is NO difference between selecting a gear in a DCT vehicle and selecting a gear in a manual.
-
How you missed the context of my comment is beyond me. Anyway the others have clearly stated why an Auto is more comfortable in traffic as a daily.
-
It wouldn't be an issue. It would be less comfortable and unnecessary. If I lived outside of the city I would go for the manual.
-
It is the same box isn't it? Like the E46. Can even easily convert them to manual. Not that you would in a car like that.

Sold

Teach you how to drive properly? Where do you pull this rubbish from. It is not hard how to figure out how to push a clutch pedal down. So daily driving would be 99% and track driving 1%. Make sure the daily part is comfortable. Last thing you want it a shitty old manual driving in Auckland Traffic.

George's Lotus was horrendous if you don't know the story. Ground Up rebuild. US stories of Corrosion vs BMW are also very real. Like plasterboard homes. People tend to avoid them because there is a chance it could be leaky.

Spotted some guys in an E30 318 with BBS wheels parked in the obvious 'getting stoned' spot on top of Mega Mitre 10 last night. Also some wanker in a Red 05 M6 driving like a total piece of sh*t on the Northern Motorway. Had a go at the Mrs for hitting the horn when he cut her off due to him being in the wrong lane and suddenly changing without indicating. Rego: GAF703 And a nice E30 M3 I have not seen before. Silver and Stock. Driving along Oteha Valley road.

And I am back to doing more interesting things such as nothing in particular. http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/cricket/67155854/icc-revoke-accreditation-for-alternative-commentary-collective-after-incident No AC Collective no watch.

Would be better to have tickets inline with Car capability and driver skill. So someone driving a 1989 Nana spec Corolla at 115 pays 3 x more than someone in a new BMW. The BMW is far more capable at those speeds than the Corolla.
