  1. Bunnings sell a 125mm 750watt bosch blue for about $115, we have 4 of them at work and they are a good little grinder, nice and light and small so easy to get into small spaces.
  2. Im in Auckland, how does $30 plus shipping for the pair sound?
  3. 39.8 ish on the ouside race, 50 ish on the inner race,
  4. I voted with my wallet, the dealer was up front about the costs and i agreed to pay them, i know i had other options but i judge value differently to others out there. I will be taking my car back there for its wof in a few months.Everyone wants a car with a complete service history, well someone has to pay for that!!
  5. Yes, and i think the car may have had a towbar in the uk before it emmigrated, there is an identical looking module alr6eady in the boot, and someone has tidied up some wiring, will know more by the end of the day....
  6. Picked up a genuine (westfalia) towbar for the M5, dropped it off at a locksmith to get a key cut for the removable towball lock, will tackle the wiring tomorrow, weather permitting.
  7. Sorry, change of plans, will measure up in the morning for you.
  8. Dont forget that includes the M tax !
  9. Okay, oil service including 10 litres castrol TWS, oil filter, and cabin microfilters, was just under 1 grand, new 90AH agm battery including labour $607.31, new wiper blades $113.62, all up incl gst $1,603.50. I was expecting nearly 2K so im happy with that.
  10. I will check in my storage tomorrow and let you know.
  11. I am pretty sure i will have a spare set ( or 3) lying around, just 2 front hubs?
  12. The special lifetime oil for the e39 is probably nearly $400 by itself!!
  13. I have my e61 M5 booked in for a service at JC BMW on Thursday, ill let you know what that covers and costs!
  14. Thats basically the only thing it could be, i would be pulling the front covers off and checking before i drove anywhere. How many Ks has it done?
  15. Yeah, there are about 4 leds in the centre console, so i doubt it was them flattening your battery overnight!
  16. did a little piece of you die when you had to take it to the auto sparky? Will be interesting to see what they come up with.
  17. As with most problems in life, more power is the answer here! If the brakes are a sensible size for the mass of the car they will pass the test, decent tyres and abs help.
  18. It really depends on what you want to get out of the car, if you want to run it into the ground and scrap it after a few years then you dont have to spend any money on servicing, but if you want to keep it as new and hold a decent amount of resale value then you need to stump up the coin for a reasonable amount of servicing. I found that my service/ repair costs are slightly higher than other cars ive owned, but not out of line with the value of the car, and i havent really even shopped around much, i got jerry clayton bmw to do my clutch and flywheel, 5k but really how much cheaper would it have been to get an indy mechanic to do it with non genuine parts, and would it actually be cheaper long term.
  19. Its the time factor that most cant cope with, 0-100-0 three times in 2minutes without a noticeable loss of performance! It can be fun to watch!
  20. I assume that your trailer is braked, if so then e60/61 will have no problem towing it, they weigh in at about 1800Kg, if towing is the MAIN reason for buying the car then i agree you should at least consider a diesel, if it is just an occasional thing then a 530i should be fine just keep the cooling system up to scratch, including the trans oil cooler.
  21. I cheated, i pulled the guts out of my garage door remote and put them up in the car roof with a small power regulator to replace the battery and a push button mounted in the panel. Works perfectly and is probably cheaper, but not factory looking.
  22. Any protection you have as a limited liability company in NZ will probably not apply if you get taken to court in the US, you should probably get a US lawyer to have a look at the contract and advise you.
  23. Make me an offer for the 540i touring! i cant let you go to the dark side!
  24. I would go higher mileage, the mileage will change but the year it was made will always be the same, and people will generally pay more for a younger car when the time comes to sell it.
