You got a new number plate! New rear brake pads and a handbrake adjustment for the 520i last night, handbrake was barely functional beforehand. Also replaced it's washer fluid lines.

Hi Craig, welcome to Bimmersport. Some more photos would be helpful, and the last 7 digits of the VIN essential. Thanks, and good luck with the sale.

Insurance is all about the fine print
-
Nice, looks like the video editing took longer than actually planning and pulling the stunt off

I *think* I am insured for any vehicle I drive, with AA, would have to double check to be certain If it is true, why am I insuring all my cars when I could be paying once

Drivers airbag replaced in the Motorsport touring on Wednesday, good service from Coombes Johnson TGA

Found out that degreaser doesn't like your rocker cover grommets if they bathe in it for too long. Damn it!

Got to hoon around Taupo Track/ Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park in a single seat race car today as my 30th bday present, very cool- highly recommended to all! Still wondering where the bit between taking off and the checkered flag went..... PS dont loose track of what gear you are in, trying to exit the hairpin in 2nd instead of 3rd means too much wheelspin will send you off!

Was that steering wheel factory fitted?

ADS might not be able to communicate with it fully? INPA might be a better bet (there you go, two pie in the sky speculations to keep you awake at night with) Pretty sure it was Power Stop in Tauranga sorted out my 530i module when it failed. They see lots of of these with all sorts of problems -
What is this "bars" business... does the battery tell you how shot it is?

The car in the picture has blue brake calipers... does this mean it has performance brakes? And does this make it more likely we will get 5er police cars too? -
I'm not that far away from him and will soon be selling an 03 non-M 530 touring... watching the offered price plummet concerns me a little!
-
Very nice... in fact it looks stunning!

I should add apart from having a whinge, we are investigating using directional antenna to maybe do something with the cell reception we do have, it is a long shot though
-
No cell reception except for a select few hilltops in the middle of the farm. We are only 10min off of SH2 as well.

So, for the comedic Auckland based dickheads on here who were recently making fun of my ability to tell if I had the internet or not... have logged two separate faults with Chorus this week resulting in several visits and various workarounds and fixes, service is now fully restored to a whopping 0.27 mbps download and 0.2mbps upload speed "Rural towns" like Te Puke have been told they are in line for UFB, well that's nice for them, they are a 20min drive away from us properly rural types

Decided to settle for?!?! Mate, I prefer the straight six It's one of those things, you have to test drive both as they are quite different and so you have to find which suits you better. We can probably all agree the 535i V8 is crap tho

How much for the used durries? Can you include the Mentos, cheers PS serves you right for shopping at Repco

Triggered. I need a safe space!

I replaced the front struts, spring pads, shock mounts etc on my 03 non M Touring for about $500, so it's not a deal breaker if you get it cheap enough. The beige interior might take some getting used to...

The cable ties aren't an issue, once the manifold is out of the way there is room for Africa. From memory they were only there to hold some cables in place, the pipes are solid plastic and quite secure once fitted- somebody else who has done more than one, and not in the middle of the night, may remember their function more clearly. @Olaf I considered the degradation issue and decided to go ahead regardless- it doesn't really get that cold here (cold enough to make the CCV freeze, anyway) so it wouldn't be critical, and it is quite secure anyhow so any extra room it might have shouldn't result in it flopping about and wrecking itself. I'm sure any water based... erm... "medical lubricant"... would be fine. Just be very upfront with Her Indoors about what (who?) it is for

They will be clogged nearly solid and brittle enough that you could break in half just by crushing with your hand... the ends will snap off leaving their neck stuck in the block. They are BMW's usual rubbish plastic so age is not kind to them. 11531705210 and 11537502525, part #6 and #8 in your realoem link. To do the job involves removing the intake manifold, so replacement intake mani gaskets are needed too. For the love of God be careful when undoing your remote positive battery terminal off of the intake... the bolt is very thin and prone to snapping, and BMW does not sell replacements.
-
Yeah sorry I decided I wanted it back! Err I mean... isn't it mad that anybody at all can file the paperwork and claim "dibs" on your car??? I assume your numberplate details are hidden via NZTA's "opt out" system? @Gabe79 how are the heater hoses under the intake manifold? Ideal time to do this job is now. Mine were so close to total failure they were actually leaking coolant. I recently went through all this and put the cold weather CCV setup in, not sure if the cold weather package is a waste of time in NZ but that is what it came with... anyway, much Vaseline was needed to make it all fit as the insulation makes it quite bulky Received a new rocker cover gasket for the 520i today, it has been the driest BMW engine I have ever had until it started dripping oil onto the exhaust mani. Shouted myself an FCP Euro t-shirt too, for a laugh.

No need to do an engine swap, you can get one ready to go here.
