  1. Have you accidentally pushed the circuit breaker on the dash that disables all windows / sunroof? Looks like the second button from left in this photo.
  2. Here's a resource I compiled when I had the same issue with my E36... have a read. Jatco Jerk - Info Thread
  3. Already mentioned here... will close this thread so we don't have two discussions going at once. http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/55552-e30-m3-sport-evo-1990/page-2#entry600688
  4. Selling the touring because my wife and I now both have company cars and our driveway now looks like a car yard. $1 reserve. Get yourself a bargain. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1062568013&permanent=0
  5. To me the RHD conversion devalues the car. Means a lot of non-M3 parts were used to complete it. If you're asking drug money for a car like this it needs to be completely original and unmolested. Good luck to the seller -IMO at this price you would be buying it as a very long term investment to make any sort of worthwhile return on your money.
  6. Battery will have been disconnected to fix the airbag. Is the battery secured properly? Sometimes you can have issues if it's not mounted securely in the tray. Also, how old is the battery... you'll often get odd things like gauges going out if the battery is on its last legs.
  7. My vote is for supercharged S54.

    Mx5s

I've bought the wife a couple of MX5's over the years. Fun to drive and cheap to run but they have their downsides if you want to daily one: They're low and small so they're hard to get in and out of and the driving position is pretty cramped. They are easy to break into so thieves target them. A slashed roof is about $700 to replace. They crash around on bumpy Christchurch roads You can't fit anything larger than a toaster in the boot Be prepared to have middle aged men wearing baseball caps give you the MX5 wave - flashing the pop up headlights at you as they drive past a fellow MX5 owner.
  9. You can switch from one to the other, simple DIY
  10. The pre-facelift and facelift valances are very different. It won't fit properly. You can change the valance to a facelift one but that will also mean changing your bumper to facelift as well.
  11. Coupe? Sedan? Interior pics?

B27's are rare as rockinghorse because everyone wants the blocks to stroke their B25's to 2.7 litres. Go all out... put a M30B35 in it.

    E30 MTech2 Touring

You haven't told us the most important part... How fast is it!!??
  14. See my project log here... from when I replaced my old belts. http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/48689-ac-schnitzer-e30-project-log/?p=586413 If your current belts are anchored through the floor then generic belts should work. If they're anchored to the seat then it's a bit of a different story. You'll need to remove the seat to get the old seatbelt stalk out too.
  15. ^ You should black out your stonechips next.
  16. Pretty sure you can't swap a non-personalised rego number to another car. Plates must go with the car.

Situations like this really make it worth getting an AA plus membership. Includes transporting your car up to 400 kilometres to your home or to your chosen workshop. They'll even put you up in accommodation if you get stuck somewhere. Only $50 a year when you add it to your current AA membership.
  18. Worst for sale listing to ever appear on bimmersport.
  19. I used Toll Freight to get the E30 from Auckland to CHCH on the train.
  20. No fun at all. And sadly I doubt you'll get a successful resolution with the previous owner. He has no obligation to be a good bugger unfortunately. Chalk it up to experience and cut your losses I say.

    2001 e46 318 touring

Saw this at Turners damaged vehicle auction listed at $1200-$1800 reserve price. Should probably put the good engine in it if you want to sell it for $4500.
  22. I don't understand your logic. It's merely supply and demand. There are not many M60 manual gearboxes in existence. Many people want an M60 manual gearbox. Hence, the price goes up because demand has outstripped supply. No point whinging when you want a rare part but only want to pay what you personally think its worth. P.S: An individual cannot dictate a market value... that's why it's called "market value"... one person is not a market because they can't sell an item to themselves. It only becomes a market once someone else is prepared to pay a certain price for an item.
  23. No idea, bought them off Trademe locally... guy had taken them off a parts car he was stripping down. Seem to be fairly well made though.
  24. Found some time today to paint the headers I bought - hoping to get these and a few other mechanical things sorted before the summer holidays. Build a makeshift spray booth Hang the headers from the joist like a side of pork Paint them with this stuff Finished product, will look much better than the stock 3 into 1 manifolds and hopefully there will be some performance benefits too.
