  1. You should be able to use a e30 rear half, real easy to come across, and an e36 front half from a ZF with the bigger flange that mates to the 420G. Measure it up, you might find something OEM that fits, I did.

    Out of curiosity, Is distilled water necessary? I picked up some BMW coolant from Jeff Gray and they said mix it with tap water when I asked.

    Never realized they sit so far forward. Is that so the sump stays as is? Plenty of room to push it back more.
  6. I'm looking for 2 center caps to fit 16" ACS wheels for an E30. My trusty ruler says they are 52mm faces. I'll buy a set of 4 if they are mint, I have 2 average and 2 that the stickers have peeled off. Starting to get on my nerves.

    I absolutely hate Vodafone, but been using cable for a couple years and suprisingly it's been completely flawless. Had the Vodafone cable TV with it the first year, what a f**ken joke that was.

    I bought one of those Topran sensors of him once, Crank sensor for an m52. They aren't OEM, but they are an aftermarket OEM replacement, like any other brand, but not made in China. Mine lasted for a month then just stopped working stranding me out of town too. He was nice enough to replace it for me with an OEM Siemens sensor though.

  10. Just chuck it out there for what you want, if it's a bit much then lower it as you go. If you aren't in a rush then just list it for what it's worth to you. I find that some parts get snapped up quickly and others eventually sell by waiting it out or you just have lower the price to move it on.

Top hat / Drop hat refers to the same thing (The upper spring perch (shaped like a hat)), People were originally selling them off as drop hats for an e30 until someone figured out they were just OEM e90 top hats being sold as e30 "drop hats", name coming from the fact they "dropped" the car slightly. Piece of useless e30 history for ya'll

  14. Never seen that, when I had koni's they came with their own top nuts. I took them off like 3 months ago, don't think they were 22mm though but the socket does fit snugglishly.
  15. Yeah more like alignment tool. I've taken it all off now now, my spline shafts have a fair bit of play in them, the exhaust one especially. Hub tabs look fine, no issues there. I do however have 3 of the intake cam bolts loose, about half a turn out each. Scary!
  16. Has anyone got the camshaft locking tools for S54 I could borrow / hire for approx a month or so? I want to remove it first and see what exactly needs to be done, But If I can't find the tools to remove it by the end of the week I'll remove what I can and just buy the lot and do it over a weekend. I have a VANOS rattle mid rpm, so from what I have read it's most likely play in the spline shaft, but also worth checking over cam bolts and chain guides / tensioner.   17. You should be using the M52 engine loom. The best way to do it is to get the E36 fuse box connector and a few cm's of the wire, then chop one off an M20 Engine loom. Use the 2 halves to make you wiring adapter, then you have one end that plugs into the E30 C101 Fuse box plug, then the engine plugs it at the other end.
  18. Just buy a new slave, they are less than $50. Look at FCP Euro or Pelican Parts, you will be able to get everything you need alot cheaper and OEM.
