its clearly not hurting new car sales. the cars were fine when they were new, its only now that they are old and crusty (/out of warranty) that they are falling to bits. Car makers dont cry many tears over old cars failing, they want you in their latest stuff when it gets old.

we get a lot of insurers ordering glass through us. Its all about asking. Im also sure its a legal right to choose who repairs the car?

We always try and get customers to get their insurance to buy a genuine screen through us (the dealer) and get it fitted by us. Too many bad stories with S&S

Im of the opinion that anyone wearing spandex can GTFO as the ratio of a**hole:good cyclist when it comes to spandex is 100:0, whilst the ratio for cyclists that arent wearing spandex is about 30:70.

uh no, the one in the OP is a genuine M5 body/chassis. Even carjam says its an M5, and running the vin confirms it. The one you are thinking of is a different car, which was down here in wellington (i tried to buy it but couldnt get hold of the seller). Imported M5 couldnt be complied due to damage, so got completely reshelled into 520i.

TV and DV (that one is Daytonaviolet fyi) are THE BEST colors on an E36. That one is up there in price, which i suspect is why it hasnt sold. It looks very nice, and i also think the previous owner was a BS member.

Saw a black E30 M3 RHD yesterday, plate said something about EVO. Drooled a bit.

im not entirely sure why anyone is actually thinking the body was changed, its obvious its had new big end shells installed as previous viewers noted a deathly knock. The body is the same, still has the same marks/dents etc. What i would be interested to know, is what work was done during the reshelling.... but im not going to buy it, so doesnt really matter me.

i saw that same cab this morning. Looked tidy. Also saw an E30 sedan after it had gone up the arse of a toyota vitz on SH2

The steering rack was IMO one of the biggest failures of the E36 M3. I always thought it killed the whole enjoyment of the twisties because its was so slow and just not sport like at all. Rather odd considering they did have other, better racks at the time.

It may be a BMW oriented forum, but most, if not all of us like other brands as well. Audi right now is the lesser of all evils.

The strange part that sort of points to more than just mindless vandalism to me, is that they cut the wires. didnt pull them out or snap them, cut them. Weirdos. We shell a shitload of mirrors through work. Usually people driving down narrow streets clipping them and breaking the glass or housing.

If theyre that cheap over there, it'd make a good donor for a manual swap. Love that Alpina one above. I'd love an 8 series but the maintenance costs scare me (even doing all the work myself, still aint cheap!).
