Not really, a missing SRS light will fail a WOF whilst still being dangerous. This mod will pass a WOF, whilst also being potentially dangerous. Anyway, i think all that needs to be said about SRS has been said, and there is now a dedicated thread. Might a suggest a mod clean this thread up for the OP?

Youre the driver, so just make sure its someone you dislike in the front passengers seat.... anyone you like can sit in the back

An E38 is hardly a "new BMW" though.... i think its more likely the sensor is just an on/off switch, rather than pressure/weight sensitive

Im still not seeing a need for a cert... http://vehicleinspection.nzta.govt.nz/virms/in-service-wof/general/tyres,-wheels-and-hubs/tyres-and-wheels http://vehicleinspection.nzta.govt.nz/virms/in-service-wof/general/steering-and-suspension/steering-and-suspension-systems

Whats the point in this thread? Its nothing special, just like half the jap import "motortsport" models around with knockoff badges.

FYI i see no mention of bullet proof glass in the options, nor any individual data. It does have double glazed glass though (not bullet proof). http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/de50772.pdf -
THe one in the OP is down from the $15k it originally was. Damn tidy looking example, but still a lot of money.

It amuses me all the parts bin BMW gear in that RR.... everywhere you look inside it, BMW.
-
All my wants, but wouldnt spend the money on it tbh.

That looks really good at that height Brent, just knocks out that 4x4 wheel gap without ruining the practicality.

Love the 750iL's, wanted one myself for ages but i just have no need for the masses of space it has! Yours is a nice colour, and the facelift is a good choice. Any pictures of the interior? I have this strange thing for the noise of the starter on V12 BMWs too.... they sound awesome.

Anyone know this car (Black 540i E34 in Auckland)

Sounds like a steal then... -

Yep, come in here thinking "aw yeah, LS1, keen". NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE.

I really wish there were more well priced E36 M3s around, I would jump on one at around 12-13K, even if it had high KM. 20K is getting too close to E46 M3 prices. Still gutted i wasnt in the right position to buy the cheap high KM evo "5am" sold. Wouldve been perfect.

Weird, did old BMWs not show up when they were individual in the Vin options? This one doesnt say what the interior is, and doesnt mention individual. http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bj49998.pdf Love how hes harping on about knowing its been through the BMW Motorsport center in Germany... more like it had some fancier options ticked at the dealer and some stickers were slapped on it afterwards.

i cant be much help to you, but in my experience with jerky jatcos i would avoid like the plague. My old E36 had a jerky jatco which progressively got worse to the point where i couldnt trust it to pull across an intersection in a timely manner. Ended up converting it to manual. As mentioned, KM doesnt mean a heck of a lot in NZ. I would much rather buy a higher KM example with a perfect service history and condition, than one with lower KM and issues/jatco.

Red is OK according the WOF Virm, but only in the rear. http://vehicleinspection.nzta.govt.nz/virms/in-service-wof/general/lighting/direction-indicator-lamps

IMO its cheap enough that no tears should be shed over it being 10 months older than its registered date. Its still a facelift, in a good colour and spec. If it were down here id be driving it right now. Heres the Vin sheet btw. Dont know what the "Le mans Blue" crap is, this ones Topasblau. http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/ck17102.pdf

only need to re-vin a car if the rego has lapsed, which happens at 12 months from expiry. The current owner/seller pays the back dated rego that is owing. You would only have to pay to update the rego like normal.

Normally bank cheque is OK, but in this case he tried to give me a personal cheque so forced him to go to the bank with me and get a bank cheque. Ive sold 39 cars personally, all but 3 were cash, and 4-5 were trades. Never had an issue.

You'd be surprised, the three times i entertained someone that didnt specify cash i ended up with a bank cheque or pissing around with them sorting finance. I specify cash to make it clear i can buy on the spot, not pissing around.
