And that is why we have a cert system... Looking at the nuts still chilling in the holes for the spacers, i'd say there wasn't sufficient thread engagement to the hub. Although, i am also curious about the two rusty studs that still appear to be attached. Long since broken off, and relying on the other 4 studs?

Err... You have a good sense of humor. E36s can be decent looking cars, but they are far from "pretty" or even on the scale of the prettiest BMW has turned out. And this is coming from someone that was a diehard E36 fan.

We get it, you dont like them, no one is forcing you to buy one, or to post/view this thread. Leave it alone. I have driven a few 130s, and have owned two 3.0 M3s, and the 130i is a more dynamic engine. Doesnt love to rev as much as an S50, but has a lot more down low torque and pulls hard. Its a better engine to live with and more useable power on the back roads without getting too far into trouble. I still want to own a manual 130i. A compact RWD manual hatch with a big engine and decent build quality (far better than any E36/E46) is a nice simple formula for fun.

Lol at the dick offering 10k on the M5. Hustlers gotta hustle? I would kill for that M5 but with two cars already in my toy fleet and no way to quickly liquidate them, I'll miss out.

Still haven't been hit with gst despite hundreds of dollars of parts coming in from the UK. Not complaining, just observing.

Id say the spark plug tube seals are starting to leak, but not yet bad enough to be on the coils. Rocker cover gasket should sort them out. Those plugs looks super worn out with massive gaps too.

NC is like a good bolt action rifle to shift though. Never found BMWs shifters to be that great, even with uprated bushes, but they arent terrible.

Called it. Glad its sorted, but I wouldnt be happy to use them again with workmanship like that. They likely removed the plugs to do the vanos (makes engine a lot easier to turn engine over to get into the right place), so its on them for not torquing them up properly.

It looks like the photo is showing one of the rubber seals under the bolt is on the piss, and is that a whole lot of sealant slathered under the gasket?! None of that will be helping. Get rid of the sealant, a new gasket shouldnt need any except in the corners near the vanos unit, and all the bolts need to be tightened and sealed or there could be a vacuum leak from the rocker cover. Also check the spark plugs are tight....

Never seen a red 130i before, and its has decent options, PDC, no Idrive, Xenons

Almost no 130i come with cruise fitted anyway, as far as I've seen.

i thought so too. Definitely had to have mine shortened when using 4pot linkages on my 6. Can you get all gears, especially 5th, or does it hit the surround? Looks pretty well placed to me, is it even meant to be centered in the hole? -
When my jatco was jerking, it was the 1st-2nd change, and it held first until it slipped and then banged hard into second. Crossing intersections was the worst, you never knew when it would actually decide it wanted to change and in the mean time it could slip enough that you would lose some momentum. Holding gears isnt the traditional "jatco jerk" issue, its the hard shifting or flaring/slipping.

Im not asking for the full report, but whats a friendly "all the bushes are stuffed and its leaking from everywhere" among forum users? If you arent going to buy it, why not share a quick little heads up instead of just saying "the report showed some things of concern" to let others know what to look for? I do also understand the situation here where it wasnt Gaz that got the report but their dealership that carried it out, so kinda different.

That's a given, but do you also know something you aren't sharing with the class? This whole "I got a ppi on it, be aware, but I won't tell you what it said" thing is getting old.

I still dont know how my Stage2+ N54 was running the stock charge pipe.... Obviously had all the hopes and dreams.
