Don't get the clutch and flywheel setup i did. There are better options for the same price or cheaper. If I were to get another i'd go with one of the ebay f1 flywheels and something from clutchnets range of pp and clutches. The reason I say this is my setup is very on-off. It's a joke how many times I stall it. Not sure what is meant by 'suss me out'

http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=29466 I need to get a few more recent photos up Do you have any photos of how the cage is tied into the front struts? in particular the drivers side.
-
Cage looks good. Great idea raising it up on blocks. Mine has been a bit of a fight having the main hoop go right to the floor What are all your wires wrapped in? What are you using for seats and mounts?
-
Did yours bulge up at the top or split lower down the strut tower Have you done anything to further reinforce them?
-
That might have been what I was hinting at
-
Exciting times. Are you going to be renting a dyno when it's all configured?
-
What are the difference between the m3 an non m shells? All I can think of is the subframe reinforcement
-
how much money do you have?
-
They look great. Wouldn't imagine it'd be affordable for average jo to get them made up.
-
If your after some style 19's mine will be for sale soon
-
I knew $200 style 5's would be too good to be true If they're 18's or staggered i'll be bummed. No problem
-
I sooo gave them away. I hope you enjoy them
-
If i'd realised it was a bimmersport member I don't even want them

Cheers, the lever latch bit is news to me

I'm going to agree with polly on this. The vanos on m50tu and m52 engines is not variable. It is either on or off. Just as crude(if not more) as v-tec in my opinion. The m52tu, m54 and m62tu is different and is variable. It has oil pushing on either side and is controlled by pwm. I cant see why you'd use pwm and a stepper motor I do think putting vanos on a switch is a dumb idea though. If i'm wrong i'm going to have to re-wire my link

This stuff is all new to me so i'm not really sure what I am looking for. I've all ready purchased a racetech 1000 seat. But am looking for another seat. The seat is for my dad. So about 6 foot and 100ish kg's What is recommended? i'll have him try out the seats once I find out some options Where to buy? If I can go cheap without sacrificing safety that be nice Is it a risk to buy second hand or will problematic damage be obvious. I'm also after 2 harnesses. Not sure really what I should be looking for. Are some harnesses not suitable for FHR (eg. HAN's) devices? 6 point harnesses seem to be prefered over 5 point. Is this correct? Cam lock or lever? is this just a personal preference thing? I've only ever used a cam lock Any difference between the cheaper harnesses (eg jamex) to other more expensive fia approved harnesses? or is it just paying for the brand name Where to buy? Any help would be much appreciated

Well this has paid off. Boundary Road Brewery have sent out twenty-two thousand $5 notes. As they say "Vouchers are not the easiest things to put together. After all we are brewers not voucher-smiths." I think it's an awesome advertising campaign Keep an eye on your mail box Tried the Pilsner last night and it wasn't that great in my opinion

-1 for spacers Jack that looks great

Should be fine, thanks for the concern. I can see out of it still. I'll definately go straight to the hospital next time. Getting rust ground out was not pleasant at all

Thanks for the kind words Got the floor plates welded in and the tubes are in their final position On to the not so good news. Got a mate to clean up some of the engine parts. I forgot to tell him I was going to re-use the main bearings. So they got a treatment from the bead blaster. Probably is a good thing in the long run Other not so good news was getting a bit of steel in my eye the other day(even though I was wearing a full protective mask). Thought i'd got it out but this morning it made itself known. So spent the morning getting it dug out in the hospital.

This might give you an idea on value http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-414451048.htm

Got some of it welded up. Was quite an experience. Some spots are a little poor but I wont be worrying about them. Learnt a few lessons like: -don't lean on bit's you've recently welded. -don't put the ground strap in a place that is likely to make you complete the circuit -it's worth spending the time to get notches perfect -if your shakey like me use whatever you can to lean on. Free handing sent me continually to resharpen the tungsten -coupes are dumb I shouldn't of put in a close up of one of the average welds but eh. Really enjoying it
