People will vote with their feet. Dont worry, humpadink's design standards wont last much longer.

Its like one of those old tamiya after market shells you could bye. Nice skin for an e30.

hehe tards aside, you would be suprised how much evos will take at speed. My brother crashed his evo4 .. or should I say rolled over 5 times around 160kph. We counted the number of times it dug into the paddock. It landed on the a-pilar several times and bonnet and while looking worse for wear actually held its shape.

New 2ltr alloy surge tank. Complete with base plate. I looked into getting one with AN fittings however the price of running 4 x fuel lines went up quite a bit. The AN oil line was around $450

I have experience with Carsoft and now ProgManSSS/DIS but no exprience with INPA. As for getting DIS/progman working on a VM, brendon was playing around with this when we were using it up at HellBM for coding the s50. Ill ask him where he got with it but I dont think he got it running just yet. Im also not sure if the Carsoft style interface is compatible with DIS/ProgManSSS. Have you got the SCOunix environment booting ok ? if so thats the first big step. We ended up using Ray's full system but was using the VM so we could train ourseleves on it first in the down time.

Not too much, its clears with the Ireland reinforcement plates It spacered it down around 1 cm with out fowling the control arms.

Finally got some more update photos. Ireland Engineering adjustible sway bars are now in and clear the headers .. Rear sway bar installed -- drilled into body as its a lot more re-inforced than the stock mount points
-
headers, exhaust and remap = 1 stage done! nice! .. +1 for photos too! also manditory one tree hill meet up too

The awnser totally depend on what spring rate you are running. Henry's sway bars matched his spring rate and also his front GC links were most likely welded a lot higher than the standard mount points(similar to the e30 m3). This also increases tension under load. For fairly standard road springs as dave says the standard bars are fine. If you want further adjustment then look into buying e30 m3 links and rewelding the mount point higher on the strut tube. I'm running adjustible Ireland engineering adjustible 21/19mmbars but I'm also running a 525/700 split rate with m3 links and struts.

Hmm I know Americans are generally like this. But why is when I read yank threads they are all about "I told you so, and this is for the haters" Why can't they get over it and realise that they have done something cool and thats all that needs to be said about it. One thing I've learnt from my time on us forums is that 99% of US modders are off the shelf modders and most of them wouldnt have fabrication bone in their bodies. So as soon as one of these projects gets finished its the best thing in the 'world' (america) and the first thing to be done in the 'world' its fanfare city. You don't see projects in Sweden or Norway with all the emotion.

I really can't believe a professional suggested compressing springs .. So lets break that down, compress springs and screw the rate = $100 roll guards about $200 of time (shouldnt have to if you get the right offset) shorten shocks = 100 per shock ($400) + time = 2 / 3 hours $200 Cert = $450 I dont see 2k in that. Dont mean to sound wank (posting this to help) .. but this is mine on KWv2 'coil overs' and worked hard on getting the perfect offset. 19 inch wheels look best on an e46 for the wheel arch.
-
tip: If you want to have a lower look on your car, dont go lower and ruin the hadling and screw the compression travel length, get bigger wheels and lower profile tires (19x8.5fr 19x9.5 rr). It will fill the gaurds better and actually give you the look your trying to achieve. That and run correct offsets. With out sounding like a whinge, I can't beleive time and time again how people get it so wrong constantly by thinking that lowering the car will make it look better when all you want its filled gaurds and stance without all the horrible side effects.

And now for something completely different....

Will do, In other news, managed to sort out a brand new washer bottle, Deloomed the right hand side of the engine bay washing bottle sensors, pump wiring and expansion tank level sensor. Ollie has finalised the airbox, Ill go get it cut to check final clearances then its off to laser cut. Its off tomorrow to have the new adjustible sway bars mounted (needs modded mounts to clear the headers) Drive shaft loops Stainless flanged center muffler for the street (flanged straight pipes for race) few other bits and pieces.
