I thought that American EDM stuff died mid year at the last burning man festival when the cool kids stopped showing up and only the masses with 5 year old hipster styling are still going ... Spose itll be like people who put Prodigy in their movies ... it just happened for several years afterwards. That is one sweet car however.

Have a look at aaron harris' 3.0 s50 ... then youll remove any silly notions of buying crate motors from the states.

But probably deserves to be in the video section non the same ... Ill just leave this here.

WTB - MSS50 or MSS50.1 DME and plug and diagnostic plug

Sweet, might give you a phone ... haha .. Think we can mix an match some EU2 fueling/ignition/vanos maps into a ZA program/map file. -
Me too, cant convince the missus though .. she wants something that is smaller.

Hopefully some retard doesnt buy it and ruin it with trinkets... I would think the reserve would be too high for that to happen though

O2 sensors will only work (accurately) when they're up to operating temperature. Therefor the DME will stay in open loop mode until they're receiving an in-band signal. At which time it will switch to closed loop operation. The car will actually run fine without o2 sensors however the default fuel mapping is to over fuel to keep a cover all bases safe tune. IE you use a lot more fuel and the car is slightly less powerful under lower load zones. Im not sure on your DME what the effect of having 1 non working sensor and 1 working, but I would think that once you have 1 faulty sensor it will fall back to open loop mode full time.

West coast south island, Nelson to Queenstown. epic.

JF changed drive into a pay-per-view model. Ratings dropped hard, Chris worked out he was the one with all of the automotive relationships with euro car makers etc and decided to start his own channel back up again and keep it free (like the other presenters already have) and just keep on doing what he does. His videos have the same quality, but he has more say on what is released. Videos will be around 3-4 month release .. but their is no set release schedule ... which is good Its the same as mighty car mods model ... product placement is the way forward I believe.

Aftermarket / Performance M60B40 ECU chipping.
hybrid replied to sonic_attack's topic in Performance
Be careful with it. While the DME is fairly robust in its electrical redundancy screwing up the pins (putting it in upside down) is a fast way to causing permanent damage. The ROM has various parallel address lines and several voltage supply and ground pins. Getting it wrong can short or supply voltage down the wrong lines just not designed for it. Sorry to sound like a negative nancy, but a warning to all. This sh*t isn't childs play. -
Trailer for Adrenalin - The BMW Touring Car Story Been waiting a while for this one. Now available for purchase and worth it . Nice to see conrads car appear in some of that footage. Enjoy

Seriously for the money .. its not that hard to make your own up out of more resonible prices parts. Most of the tone is set at the headers and their lengths + merge pipes... the amplification is then controlled via mid and back box mufflers. You can make a sort of crap sounding back box sound really good with a perferated straightthrough mid twin pipe muffler. HSV do a nice one thats 2 1/4 inch.

Correct, but easy enough to change. They also have the SAP removed from factory which is nice. Euro software however will make it run a tad rough on cold start.. but its worth it for the power increase.

Love the car and as much as its a bit cheesy these days you have to respect the amount of effort that goes into these for videotainment value

Is that the goal ? ... must say dude if you can get it back to this it will be the best looking 8 series ive seen ever.

What no cement blocks ?

Dunno, people can nerd it up all they want, but the fact is its a city drapped steapish valley so the win ends up funneling all over the place.

agree .. I went the e36 m3 external expansion tank. Serves the purpose nicely.

Or people could stop moaning and get on with it... Seriously, All it takes is a bit of willing intent to mod a car. The biggest problem I see (and I have done it many times before myself) is peoples eyes are bigger than their stomach so to speak. Bite off only what you can chew, be very happy with what you have, even if its not the fastest, best looking vehicle around.. who cares ? just enjoy getting into it. When I joined bimmersport I was pretty much the biggest noob when it came to modding cars, but I learnt by doing things and making mistakes. Most of my success in modding came from careful research into what I wanted to do. Am I some guru, no ... just a dude who likes to approach things practically. This weekend, Westy decided that hes gonna try and give it a crack at the wiring thing for his e30 / v8. He got the whole thing started, despite some pretty interesting hurdles to get over. A bit of determination is all that was needed and some research. One thing cars have taught me is how to understand engineering and problem solving from a pratical point of view. Instead of problem solving in a computer. This is why I love it.

Ray @ HellBM has one in excellent condition. Due to its condition it isnt a deal of the century though but priced right for its condition.
