The galve coating on the metal ring/neck has failed probably from people over the year scraping it with the metal pump neck. Petrol is corrosive and would of done the rest.. the only way to fix it properly is to remove it and re coat. But you can just get a nice second hand one. Wire brushing it off is only a temporay fix as it will happen again. That or close the fuel cap and forget about it .. it wont in reality get any worse, its kind of only just surface.

tom youll probably find it will be running much larger injectors. With this the injector scaling will be different as with knock etc. Sounds like the tune is matched to the cams and all tables for it.

I have written software which can test for failed Vanos or not. I can even measure the actual variance and ms delay in pump pressure. I should probably finish it off for public consumption at some point.

This isn’t aimed at your company Jon but to answer your query... probably because New Zealand companies are the worst at promoting themselves properly. I truly think a lot of people in this country think that because their business exists that people must know about them. Customer communications and online catalogues rules these days and this is why overseas companies get the business over NZ ones. The other reason is NZ companies aren’t competitive with the world market, when we talk about locally produced stuff, there isn’t really an excuse why it costs twice as much as overseas. Racebrakes was a prime example of this .... too expensive to for too long, people just went overseas because there is catalogue/stock and pricing displayed online. They thankfully changed their tune and are now competitive internationally for braking parts.

You can replace the display easy enough with the correct tools. It is possible to swap clusters however on some models the ks need to be burnt into a new the eprom and it replaced. + as other said, recode to car.

You might just have a shot radiator. Check the inside of it.... if its black its been anodized from electrolysis and isn't efficient anymore.

Mine opens at 80 on the data logger (can feel the outlet pipe get warm) ... stays stable at around 90. Fan kicks in at 95 and brings it down to 90 again. The temp gauge is located different to your tests hence the variations . What cooling issues do you have?
