All this does is change the voltage curve of the two linear potentiometers (active variable resistors) in the pedal. You can do the same thing by adjusting the throttle map in ECU or drivers wish as Hans has pointed too. Non of this has anything to do with engine maps (fuel, ignition etc)

Go buy a 20litre vat of truck cleaner for the underneath .... Jack the car up on stands and soke for 10-15 the rinse with hose OR carefully with water blaster.

Has forged pistons and a Motec ECU. Running around 12psi and 300 at the wheels when I drove it 8 years a go. Not sure what state its in now however.

I've unfortunately got addicited to power. So I couldnt live without the v8 these days. I love the fact you can just lumber around too with no issues or not having to think twice about weather you have enough to pass etc. Economy is ok, its not a deseil though. Next car is gonna be a 335i touring. Turbos should replace the shortfall the non M i6 has in power

I love it when the say computer enhanced ... when its just some noob in mspaint who shouldnt do image manupulation. Just because you can use the tool doesnt mean you should inflick your skills on the public. These days I just blast past those people. A wee technique is using satnav to work out where the straights are when they come up, suddenly the muppet in front isnt quite ready to speed up again and you just pop in a quick clean overtake and usaully at legal speeds. Press the cruise control button and use the GPS again to sit on a true 100kph and keep it that way through the corners. They quickly fade away in the mirror as they release they chose the cheaper option in tires when it came to replacements.

A lot of these services are a drop off the car into a holding area and they park it. So they have to move the car. There is one where you park the car and leave it there. Found that one quite good.

You can enable transport mode through programming. Its not really a consumer level thing to do however.

Hmmm probably around 12-14 days effort all up. But in all honesty if I didnt put some hours in we just couldnt have started as the cost would of been too high.
