  3. The e46 EGS is unfortunately not as trick as your custom setup. However if you can get over the fact they change gear or more importantly dont change gear when you want it just requires more fancy brake work and car placement. Also be ready to catch any brake induced weight shifted oversteer moments. Its not all that scary, you just have to be mindful of it and youll be more than fine! I left my in sport and didnt even both changing the gear in the end. Was just flooring it most of the time and letting the EGS sort it out. I gave up trying to tell it what to do and it ignoring me.
  4. Ran my 330i several times at track days with quite a bit of success. The only thing with auto is you can really engine brake and it chnages gear at silly times in the corners, basically your never in the idle gear. It can be hard on the transmission so its not a thing you do all of the time. But it never did mine any harm at all. You will have a lot of fun in an e46 at the track, theyre a very poised car. Even better with 235/265 rubber on it

  8. The good thing is its not like the sharks were actually at the beach area. The spot he was swimming around Maori Bay to Muriwai rocks has a big drop off shelf between the island and the Maori bay beach. I used to surf there when the swell was right you could get some great long waves as the swell popped out of the ocean in the middle of the bay. No doubt the sharks liked the steap drop off and rocky area.
  9. My cousin is a prominant reporter for some major news outlets, he openly admits they play on words to sell the story. Its game to them and everyone bites Its easier to tell a lie then retract at a later date by difussion. You still 'sell' the story at that point in time.

    ECU RECODE

    Tuners only mess around with maps they dont recode the ECU options and program sections. They may however be able to sort out the revdrop issue if they know what theyre looking for. (ICV Maps)
  17. Its on a case by case basis and job complexity .. but nothing too extreme pricewise EG NOT silly dealer prices. PM me if interested and further info. Will get around to chucking a 'menu' up and an AD.
  18. Agressive DSC, basically it will let you take your car to the absolute limits before it kicks in. About as hardcore as traction control gets. Perfect for going for it or track days. The standard mode (which you can still engage at the push of a button and is on by default) cuts in a lot earlier.
