It sounds similar to crank or cam sensors. In fairness if you let the thing get absolutly dead cold you will prob get a decent drive out of it and get home. Personally i would google how to test the cam and crank sensors with a multimeter. Do this cold and record tge resistances. Then drive or idle till it stops and retest if the circuits with resistances become open you have found the issue. Sent from my GT-I8160L using Tapatalk 2

If you get in and replace brake fluid it will gove you a chance to inspect the brakes. Look for sticking sliders etc. Uneven pad wear is a big giveaway. If they are average new rotors and pads arent hugely expensive Sent from my GT-I8160L using Tapatalk 2

Crashed the 540i Bmw GT ran a stopsign in front of me Literally 6 kms since i did front suspension bushes and rocker covers and a few other bits. And 100 meters away from the petrol station where i filled the tank to the Brim Needs bumper and bonnet repainted if not replaced. New guard, headlight. fog. grill. Lower bumper inserts. Left brake duct and forward splash sheild. Bumper trim and chrome strip. Also rad support looks bent. But all bolt on bits i suppose so not the end of the world

Volvo is getting bper repaired at $400 bmw is gettimg forward quarter panel repaired and painted along with curb damage on wheel and scrape in rear bumper. At $1700.
