wouldnt be too upset about that price. though would talk to a BMW specialist and/or main dealer as well who have the correct tools for the job. bear in mind it is a fools game going to the place with a $20 an hour less labour rate when they spend twice as long to fix the problem. All the V8s need to come out through the bottom of the car so they can be worked on, there is no room in the engine bay to complete this task. bear in mind you are also paying for the fact the car hoist is tied up with your engineless car on it for a period of time that the bay could otherwise be generating revenue.

its not that i cant do it. i could, and used to frequently when i didnt have to worry about just myself, more than just one person is viable both in time and economic sence to cook at home. these days i'd just end up with a pantry with two dozen expired packets of sprices, and a fridge full of shrivelled brocolli, capsicums and funky looking meat. if i wanted to live amoungst nature projects i would have become a biologist. as i said above, spoilt for choice around where i live.

i have owned this house for 4.5 years, have just spent $35k here including a new kitchen, in total i have cooked maybe a half dozen times, even bbqs i provide the BMBBQ Trailer and the gas and delegate the cooking. spoilt for choice with places out around here, many places are very cheap during the week to get you in the door. Would be different if i had a partner of course. Its just not economical to cook for one, without having to have the same thing for dinner 4 nights in the row.

yep i have that. $1 to rent a movie. People feel odd doing that and say thats expencive, but quite happy to pay $15 or whatever it is for netflix.... if you are watching more than 15 movies in a month, you really need to evaluate your life decisions.

id dollar reserve my cabby if they actually sold for that price though.

i disagree with your first sentence. i know for fact your second sentence is not true. More and more of my job is visiting the same data centre sites on a weekly if not monthly basis, so much so its easier that i have my own access card to most of them now, and I'm sure you know the performance it takes to get those.

have the 58s sorry. 53 on my mind being an e53 of course. spare is a 57 so probably came on those, apart from the 4.4i in the engine bay, its otherwise as poverty pack as they come. would be happy with either 69s or 87s as you suggest, 63 seem to be the go too but whatever. the reason is my front tyres are shagged anyway, rear tyres are brand new thanks to previous owner. should be able to upgrade for not to much. truth be told, a pair of style 58s with as new tyres i would also be happy with. While i like my E53 and have decided to keep it, it will never be a car i get passionate about. it just too good-er nick to sell. probably will hang the keys to my Transit up for good in the next 6 months or so, so will be useful having something a bit bigger around.

sounds good

looking for the following for my E53 please: cargo cover in black. light control module for tow bar. some nicer wheels than my style 53s which are probably the ugliest wheel they came with. North Island wide is fine. may also consider sportpac and/or M parts if price is right.

pay attention to where the expansion tank is on your car, as thats where the difference is. You can simplify the cooling system by fitting a rad with a built in expansion tank, you ditch about 3 hoses. upgrades include fitting an alloy thermostat housing and an alloy Z3 M radiator in place of the OE item should you choose to do so. I hate the BMW plastics. Also remember your heater core is a part of your cooling system, and an often overlooked item in a cooling system overhaul.

saw Kerrys Kia a few weeks back. I couldn't believe what 60k could buy in a brand new car. astonishing the kit that it had. Its a good job he didn't turn the stereo on. i suspect i would have been giving ASB a phone call.

style 32 the world i say. yep used them, pretty sure they are the set that are currently on my E30 coupe. but its hard to say as i have had so many sets. they are the best looking BMW wheel for our era of cars.

ha swaps like that, the "loss of power" isnt relevant, as its a far better engine than was ever in there in the first place. Much like the silly point people bring up about superchargers "parasitic loss"

Id recommend an E46, either a prefacelift 318i, or otherwise get a 325i/328i E46. all other E46 are not worth your while, especially as your first one. interiors are generally good quality, headliners usually the only thing that fails. if anything else inside is wrong then thats a pretty good indication of the life the car as had, as they otherwise dont break on thier own. people arent rough on the interiors but service the car impeccably. if the exterior is a bit scruffy then not a big problem if its a common colour, panels are cheap and plentiful, as are all E46 parts and they will be for another 5 years or so too. E36 are mostly getting a bit long in the tooth now, though there are certainly some gems amoungst the rubbish. the first 3 series that was designed to protect its occupants in a crash. coupe specific parts are becoming hard to find, but their motors are plentiful, as are sedan parts, tho prices are starting to climb a bit. non specialist wreckers dont bother to buy them any more. E30s are past being a first car now. highly collectible and reserved for enthusiests these days, even the scuffiest 318i auto sedan is a 3-4k car, and no matter what you buy, you will be working on it from time to time. if you are ready for E30 ownership, you'll know, because nothing else will do. But above all else, regardless what you buy, please recognise that things can and will go wrong. they are 15 - 20 years old now, and were only ever designed to last 10. if your budget is 7k, rather than spending the lot at having nothing left in the kitty, you are FAR better off buying a car for say 4.5k and then spending 2k replacing the cooling system, giving it a full service, and then tidying up the inevitable short comings in the interior. Its true that you wont get your money back in the end, but you werent going to get it if you spent the whole budget anyways, so you might as well have a base line established. be carefull of mutton dressed as lamb too. its very easy to make a car look very good, the buyer gets thier heart set on it, but underneath its a basket case. -
truth be told id get value out of the documentary channels too. but the real cost is much higher. i am quite productive, but i would veg more if i had more programs to watch.
