maybe im missing something in the above post, but whats the advantage over the stock item? Edit: also, group buys dont work if you only have one possible supplier. they are the only supplier, so they can charge what they want. thats economics 103. sucessfull group buys that happen here or anywhere else only work if you have several suppliers to take your business to if you dont like one crowds prices.

Did I sell you these? In anycase i had a set the same, and can vouch, you can hear the whistle if you are listening for it, but they are pretty quite for racks.

Thats a pretty gnarly hit isnt it??? what was the other object?

need some for my new toy too. I feel bad not representin'

different from the norm would be rocking something that isn't made by BBS. "boring" colours would look best imo. Josh said Champagne, that might work well. Just dont do orange or lilac or some stupid thing like that. Its not a VW

I know a cheaper solution Mind, I have never really understood the point of pet cats

Nope I contacted those guys in 2010 or whenever it was when i started doing these for you guys, they werent interested in sharpening their prices, and found the sales guy a bit rude. So crowd i went with have now had easily 150 sets if not more made up via me now. Goes to show, always try to never turn down business no matter how small you think it might be. we will be using germanplates.com who also have a plate builder. Worthy of noting, if you click the NZ Plate option on germanplates, the one they show is actually different to the one we are getting. Under his agreement with NZ's own Plates.co.nz, he is allowed to sell but not advertise the replicas. If you go for the NZ option, it is a replica of what you will find on plates.co.nz, just with the german font If that doesnt make sense: If you want a german style or custom letters numbers etc etc, use www.germanplates.com website If you want an NZ Replica, use www.plates.co.nz website to get an idea of what i can order you. Be aware, it will be using the german font however. Hope thats clear as mud!

and the assholes that pull out in front of you

Right then. Inbox is cleared ready to go. Most of you know the drill by now. Pricing, examples, and order list is all in the first post. Newcommers and veterans alike, post in this thread or message me what you want, and then pay to account on the first post. Thats a trust account. If we get minimum 8 paid up orders then its all go! This only works when people pay up early. Dont leave it to the last minute to pay and "see if other people are keen". It just falls over for everyone. Orders close Thursday 5th, make sure you pay on or before this night. Paid up orders will be sent on Friday Go to it! Andy

Is purchasing a 20 year old E34 sensible for a new car owner?

not hard when every "gizzer" is thrashed to hell and back! -
my 520i Wagon is registered as an SE, not sure if it is though it was poverty pack as they come though. i couldn't find a single option on it, even basic cloth seats, busdriver wheel etc
-
i wonder if drive noticed it was on the back
-
depends on body shape and geographic market. MY1988 have plastic, but if the car was made october/november 1987, could have plastic ones. or maybe registered different date etc. not too much to worry about

Just finished replacing the timing belt etc and waterpump in my newest E30 (thread coming when i can get some photos of it). took about 5 1/2hours, including degreasing and painting bits and pieces, think I did well!? Teardown yesterday and rebuilding today both afterwork. I remember it being a lot easier when i was 16 doing it, i guess i must have had smaller hands then lol

Not sure if they are expensive or not. I buy thousands of dollars of parts every year for cars i pickup do up and flick on. But i have never brought Japanese bits and I only by genuine, i dont think they are that bad really. Have had two project Mercs and one project Volvo, and parts for both of those both much more expencive than BMW. But service history is everything on an old car. E34s one of the more bullet proof chassis, but if there are any problems with the self leveling, just find another one. in fact i wouldnt buy an E34 with that no matter if it worked or not probably. All the straight 6 engines these came out with are pretty easy to work on yourself, plenty of guides on the internet for anything you could want to do, anything from changing a tyre to changing a cam belt etc. Not sure about the V8s to work on, havent had one -
1M gets £6K detail - approx. $11-12K NZ!

Saw one of these today. Carjam says its Genuine too. http://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=TZ1558 Those that think its just another 911, its actually a 356 which is one of if not the first Porsche models made, based on a VW Beetle which Porsche himself designed for VW (and Hitler for that matter). Convertibles of this called speedsters are well into the 200k range, im not really sure what this Type B is worth, probably not quite that much, but a very rare car these days none the less.

Trademe post of the day........ :-)
_ethrty-Andy_ replied to Phil-540i's topic in TradeMe discussions
i wonder in cases like this whether its people writing down the details of the vehicle and giving it to the receptionist to bang up on trade me? coz most 6 cylinders would be a V6 eh. hmm Still. They are selling a very expencive product, even a $3k car is still expensive compared to other things we buy "every day". Youd think they would have a bit more care -
That looks good, might be a cheaper alternative to genuine Alpinas?? That's an M3 they had 5x120 from factory
