  1. That's a bargain in relation to the price of the car!
  2. I always thought the e34 was the original M5, didn't know there's one before that.
  3. Heard DSG gearbox need servicing (gear box oil change?) every 60000km, hates traffic light GP, besides that they are generally reliable.
  4. That's the first thing I thought of as well. lol ! It sounds like a bumble bee on steroids.
  5. I don't think retrofitting is even possible or at least it will be prohibitively expensive. Different key, handful of sensors, wiring and coding. You must really want it that badly to go down this route. Leave the square key in and take the metal key out does funny thing to mine. All my iDrive presets disappeared and electric seat memory are gone. Pretty sure for as long as you leave the square key in the slot, steering wheel won't lock when you lock the car from outside.
  6. I wonder how much more do you get out of a rolling road/dyno remap versus one of those OBD port plug in box. Often at around half the price if not less, they are tempting.
  7. That start-stop-remove-restart thing is a safety feature in case of rail crossing, car jacking, etc... Full Keyless start has been an option for E90 (Comfort Entry) and others from similar era. It's now standard on the current new 1-series
  8. Chemcourier Penrose (O'Rourke Road)? Might be able to help on Thursday as well, but doesn't finish work till almost 6 for me.
  9. NZ Post has a new service call "You Shop", which give you an US address to send your shopping to and they brought it back to NZ for you. Worth looking into.
  10. K2 Black I guess he did it because he can, but that's a lot of work to re-shell a car not to mention all the chassic welding.
  11. Isn't FFL-4 the same spec oil as on a GTR? Maybe try a Nissan dealer?
  12. Don't know where you get that price from, it's no where near that. Had a quick look on Amazon + Shipito.com = US$550-ish landed plus GST if you do get pinged on import.
  13. No singature doesn't mean the courier can leave it anywhere, so obviously unsafe and easily stolen being 3 feet from the main road outside a building in the dark. Just a sad case of a cheapskate sender and a moronic courier driver
  14. Should consider one of these pram, takes up little space and goes well with the car.
  15. I have a One X and I picked it over the S3 on built quality and screen quality when I bought it last year. If I am to do the same for the One vs S4, it would be the same result - HTC for me. Thanks! I heard 8-core S4 is 3G only, where the 4-core is LTE.
  16. Yeah, I know the one. That's like the size of an old Mini, made of Stainless steel with LED lighting and fridge. Crazy price, that's without any tools. What's your budget and what size do you need? Bunnings has a Stanley one for few hundy with a socket set included and Saeco does a Kincrome 485pcs roller box full of tools for about 3k. Isn't one of our forum sponsor does tools? AES TradeZone, in Auckland Viaduct, surely they will have a range of tools.
  17. ^ 100% agree If they've already paid in full, it's understandable that they are anxious. From their point of view, they've paid the money and over a month has passed and they hasn't got what they paid for (yet).
  18. Thanks Elmarco, they sound promising. My VW key's been through the washing machine and remote won't work anymore. (Still starts the car though...) $500+ for a new remote and full day at the $tealership to reprogram the car seems way over the top. Might give them a try.
  19. Not bad looking with that sunroof and the rear TV to keep the kids happy (and you sane).
  20. Probably salvaging the HID lens assembly for some project.
  21. If it says ATF, use anything that meets Dexron 3 standard. But do find out WHY you need to top up. There may be a leak somewhere in the system.
  22. ^^ You don't have to say that twice. I still on the original set of Bridgestone RE50a (225 front, 255 rear, 18") run-flats that came with the car, so I can't compare to other tyres. But they're very grippy wet or dry, noise is ok. However, this car has normal suspension but rides about the same as my old e46 on M-sport suspension with 17", on this regard you could say is harsher riding. I asked for a quote and the price wasn't that bad, so I am happy. Have read some good reviews on Pirelli RFT, anyone tried those?
  23. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=37227 Here is a link from earlier discussion
  24. Are they wrapped up on a pallet or loose?
  25. Very tidy indeed, can do with some facelift headlights (though connectors are different, simple soldering job). As other said, well worth fixing.
