Can take a jolly big load of home kill in the boot though!

I've got a right foot for that

ARP head studs, rod bolts and send it. Plenty of race engine specialists out there, get the Google and phone out. I wouldn't be playing the 600 hp game on a hypereutectic piston without e85 though, they hate knock

I did much the same thing to my 540 (m62tu) and there was no perceptible difference in economy, but it ran far cooler. Theven system is only there for emissions, it drastically increases knock limitation under load until the engine temp cools back down. Tree hugging rubbish Good work Steve!

On ice for sure

Had to buy this because my 4 bmws might break and I need a reliable daily... um

Sold the 328 and spent the rest of the day crying in my x5.

Very nice E36 318is for sale in Welly
dirtydoogle replied to TermiPeteNZ's topic in TradeMe discussions
Having owned plenty of 4 and 6 cyl e36s I can say none are hard to work on. But I've had far less issues with m50/2 engines with higher km That and the m44 are lacking massively in power. Would like to see the numbers on how many nz new 328 msport optioned cars were sold vs the iS That being said I still want a proper 318iS, so logic is all out the window- 18 replies

While I am a fan of them, I don't understand why they are so close to 328 money when they are mediocre in comparison I'd totally rock a Fiji one though- 18 replies

Sold my cheapo stuff sorry
-
I had some flat bill hat wearing ballbag trying to buy some coilovers off me a while ago who didn't want to spend more than $500 and they had to be "mint" Bloody idiots. I've now discovered since I got the manual E53 I don't want to drive my three 3 series anymore or my e39. They're all too low and my old man back gets grumpy.

I'll be removing the coil over stuff soon and putting the standard suspension back in, will have new WoF soon, will have a year rego upon sale. Willing to negotiate price, the poor thing is just sitting around now, my buggered back has made it very unpleasant to get in and out of.

I was there for a few days for work last month and it is quite nice The weather isn't as nice as the Hawkes Bay but there is an overwhelming amount of really cool roads up the hills And a billion tossers in R33s doing sick skids oi

I may not have been clear enough sorry, the cam sensor can cause a no start situation. I had one recently and it would cough and not start with a dead cam sensor It's worth ruling out and only takes a few minutesto change if you have small hands
-
I've had no start and backfiring out the intake with cam sensor code present However will run with an error count as opposed to total failure
-
Got a spare cam angle sensor?
-
Is the clunk with clutch in and selecting gear or while moving off? Whining noise will not be your guibo

Have uploaded better pics. I'll pop this on trade me in the new year

It's all pretty speculative without knowing brand of dyno and correction factors used. Regardless would be a bloody nice weapon to own. Mucho jealous

Cleaning the engine without Inlet manifold on?
dirtydoogle replied to modz's topic in General Discussion
I stuff the ports with rags and then use tape to cover them. Then get the tooth brush out and spend a year cleaning -
99' E39 540i engine died slowly while driving
dirtydoogle replied to dkonsta1's topic in General Discussion
Correct. Being a returnless rail the regulator is in the filter -

They have a pressure test valve on the fuel rail, standard Schrader type -
