good plan Julian, MOAR power.

just pull up really hard. or a wide area pry bar, and push down, up against the carpet.

try contacting Wurths to get their underbody coating products. Repco and Supercheap don't exactly sell decent products when it comes to protectants IMO. I used repco stuff and now my transmission tunnel looks like a tar monster shat and puked all over it (it melts and NEVER dries).

Chicane's a good place to shop and try on helmets, and as Neal said, make sure it fits properly. Bike helmets are more "closed off" than car helmets in the visor area (offers more protection when you fall off a bike) . I wear glasses so I had to buy a car helmet for comfort, and it is better to wear sunnies with also. A full open face helmet is good enough unless you want to protect your eyes from broken glass/debris-from-cars-in-front-of-you-falling off just in case. oh, post some pics please

awesome workmanship! maybe put the washer bottle in a small 12v mini fridge (frosty mornings everyday)

http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/f3/4-c...tapping-t24095/ http://84.45.115.78/e30zonewiki/index.php/M40 don't know if the "oil spray bar" cleaning works, but have a read. Will give this a go later on (my tapping quiets down after warm up or higher revs)

Cert plate's finally attached, WoF tomorrow. Runs really rich, so will look into tuning options (stock ECU now) but runs well. It's a "raw" ride with solid engine mounts and some exhaust fouling issues (no big deal, just vibrations). Full boost below 4000 rpm (redlines 5800) but boy oh boy, does it haul. Shout outs to: Dan @ Slater Fab for making this great setup! Tom and the team @ Pitstop Grey Lynn for being GC's with advice, fittings and cert related issues Next on the list: 710N VW/Audi recirculating valve Electric fan to make room for a shorter intake pipe Fix the exhaust "dump pipe" angle to get more clearance to the body Possible tune (more research)

M5 and a spare car Worth it
-
hey Jonathan, same as the one Brent mentioned, from a m40 e30. I have a spare, but you're better off getting p/plate f/wheel and old clucth as whole package, then take it to Autoclutch and tell them your needs. Holds up very well with my 220rwhp motor, but not track tested yet (but I have cofidence it'll hold)

RIP Brian, and thank you for all your enthusiasm and friendliness over the years.

Email the manager or headoffice if you can, that way there isn't an issue of them taking back what they said. list out the facts and issue, then ask them for their comment and solution (poke holes in what they say). Be polite and logical, like hybrid said, don't blame a party Good luck and use words like "negligence" and "matter of saftey/harm"

Costs dependant on what you want to do, but the work below was under $500. I just brought in my old clutch, f/w and p/p etc and got in back within 1 business day

or spend more and get one with wired remote? i've thought about mounting controls on steering wheel, but that makes the e30 too luxurious -

http://www.jaycar.co.nz/productView.asp?ID...SUBCATID=1029#4 decent unit for the price, and shallow or you could try American Hi-fi from The Warehouse, pretty much same as the one above, but not as good IMO -
depends on how much HP and condition of motor etc? yes, could do with tidy up and reshell
