Pretty much nailed it. I think it was slightly less precise and may have been 'BBS 3-something... The pointy ones.'
-
Work and health have caused a bit of a slowdown. Got one of the front wings off - still no more rust. A happy event, but still a slightly surprising one. In the meantime, Miss M has decided the wheels need to be 15x7 BBS RZ348s. Anyone got any taking up space in a shed/garage/garden? Very happy - prefer - to have something that needs refurb.
-
Sounds a bit pricey, even if it does have wheels desirable to some/many.

That's the plan. Poultry in the chilly bin, red meat kept as cold as practical. There may be venison for Christmas.
-
Or just buy an M3? It'd certainly be easier!
-
Yup - it's already frozen. Sounds like look after the poultry, and the rest will be OK provided I'm sensible.
-
There is some poultry, but that can go into the bins I have. The rest is red meat. Thanks for the tips guys.

I've been offered a selection of meat, sufficient to fill our 2/3 size chest freezer. I have access to a couple of smaller chilly bins, but nothing like enough to carry everything. (It's going to be pretty much a boot-full in the 320d.) Any suggestions for packing/wrapping/protecting it for a little over an hour while travelling home? Bubblewrap?

That's a very nice-looking car. Great colour combination, imo. Perfect for Mrs M, except for the manual 'box! (And being in Christchurch...) -
http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=987488779 Looks lovely, sounds pampered. Nice engine, too. (N46B20) Mrs M would love it, but if she's starting to have problems with the 320d, I can't see this being any easier. Other than the doors will open wider, perhaps.

I get an easy 700km per tank from my 500SE, cruising at 1900rpm and 100km/h, too. Nice car.
-
Does it go hard? Is it on baggies? If not, could you fit them? Does it do mean skidz?
-
Which bits do you need? They're not expensive.

Blocked cat can be a performance killer. What's the mileage on your Touring? I've also seen performance issues as a result of a tired fuel pump. No errors cos it's still working, and gentle driving is fine, but put your foot down and there's no more to be had.

They're too cheap, Ben!

Alongside the tools for hire thread, there are many cheap or DIY things that come in handy. List them here? Free is preferred, but let's say no more than $40? I saw this today: http://www.gearbest.com/microscopes-endoscope/pp_229387.html

That sounds good. And no... Not seen the car yet! It's quite a trip on the off-chance that it may or may not be OK, so I'm paying for a WoF (which I expect it to fail).
-
Baurs are great. Parts are actually much easier and cheaper to find than for verts.
-
Ya git! I'll take the handbrake gaiter, please.
-
I prefer not, but I prefer not in any car.

Gave the 320d a rest today. It deserves it. Pulled the wings off one of the 318i coupes, removed the wiper motor and mech. That project is going a lot deeper than I'd planned. Oh well... Soon be summer so hopefully we'll have some good weather so I can it outside. Narrowly avoided buying a 525iX touring. This buying cars thing is getting out of hand!

I have a similar problem on my 190E - turns out it is the power steering pump pulley that is squealing.

The 15x7 et20 as fitted to the E34, E24 and E32. Anyone know what they weigh?
